Dear Survivors,

Our Dissident team is working hard on the game. We're testing and improving it daily to provide you with the best experience we can think of. What does it mean?

Survival challenges

Providing players with properly designed survival challenges is vital for the game. Expect that guards won't go easy on you if they catch you while trying to escape the camp. You have to be careful also outside the camp - that is if you manage to escape in the first place. Guards will come looking for you. Think twice about setting a campfire in the middle of the night if you don't want to make finding you too easy for them.

Crafting and exploration

Your backpack will be your best friend. It will allow you to carry less and more precious things out of which you will create tools, igloos, weapons, or clothes. Remember to store some food and water there as well, as you never know when you will need them.
Exploration will allow you to find new resources, however, it won't be that easy. Wild animals won't forgive you for disturbing their forest sanctuaries. Prepare for a fight, and collect their meat and fur... or die trying.

I watchlisted this game back in 2021. It is now 2024. There is no news, there are no new videos. Is this game actually going to release?

I hope you're ready to fight the injustice because we have important information about the game's development.

The new developer of the game

As some of you might have noticed, the game has a new developer! In December 2022, Sigur Studio took over the development of the game Dissident: Frostland Escape. They began to work anew, using the original assets from Tequilabyte Studio and giving this game a new life.
We cannot express how excited all teams are to show our survival gem to you!
Below, you can find some screenshots from the very early stages of the new production process.

1984 by Orwell

Did you read 1984 by George Orwell? If you did, you will surely notice some references to this book in Dissident's story. In our opinion, 1984 was one of the ground-breaking pieces of literature that opened the eyes of many. In Dissident's case, we hope that you will get involved with the game's world and reality.
