How hard and scary is this?
I love horror movies but I can’t stand horror games all that much. How hard is this game on normal and how scary is it. Don’t enjoy survival horror games like resident evil 1-3 or silent hill. Is this comparable?

It's honestly not as scary as the likes of RE or Silent Hill, but I will say there are two levels where I question my judgement purely because of the audio. In general though, you should be fine!
Why get it, if you have problems w/horror games? And if you want to complete it 100% like I have, then it will take you a whole work day to do so.

It completely depends. What things scare you as we're going to need to know or we have no idea.

ShadowMan is a game from the time of early 3D games, so there's emphasis on darkness and story rather than detailed gore for example.

So if you're worried about viscreal gore like in Resident Evil, then it's not really that sort of game. Sure, there are some bloody images and characters, but the entire premise of the game is loosely this:

The main character you see from the artwork, Mike LeRoi is a guy who did some dodgy criminal activity and ended up not just dying but his younger brother got killed inadvertently too. Mike ends up being used as the "shadowman" by a voodoo priestess - a walker between the worlds of liveside and deadside (the place where everyone goes when they die).

There's a bit of an eternal battle coming about and Mike is sent in by the priestess to find out and sort it all out. So you end up jumping between liveside and deadside, gradually getting powers and being able to reach ever further into levels of the game, a la Zelda or Metroid type games.

The setting is dark and broody. The enemies are basically corrupt humanoid like creatures of various sorts, some with a bit of blood about them.

There are no jump scares or anything like that.

So it entirely depends on you.
