Cool. I already own this on PS2. Played it pretty recently too. Generally not much sense in buying the same game for a different platform when nothing really significant was changed. You don't get the significant advantages that a modern platform could provide to older games for this version.

It's a really good game so I hope you enjoy.

I'm sure plenty of people enjoy playing nocturne on their emulators as well.

idk something about owning the game finally is nice? also i literally can't get it on ps2 the same way even tho i would love the lower resolution and atmosphere.

You can always try a PS2 emulator. You can change the resolution without hex editing too. So it's a more feature rich experience than the steam version. I really recommend it.

Cap. :ggslayer:

Also I'm pretty sure that even if you increase the resolution of the emulator it still renders at 480p regardless. Good try though.

No, that's the thing. The emulator changes the internal rebdering resolution. It looks very close to what Nocturne on pc looks like at similar resolutions.

So I'm not sure what makes you so "pretty sure" here.

Maybe I'm wrong and my eyes are burnt out but this video doesn't exactly show that being the case. Or it's just the case of a PS2 game using PS2 UI and model assets.

Your eyes are burnt out. You can test it yourself by going back and forth between hardware and software renderer or just changing the internal resolution to 1x and scaling the window to an HD resolution.

How about you post comparison pictures next time.

i know people say u can just emulate it but idk theres something about nocturne that i really like... like i want to actually support it. there are no brand new copies so i dont mind supporting SMT.
i literally can not buy nocturne for ps2 for cheaper, and as i said i really like retro games , that being said i feel fine emulating it now

I found Nocturne on Ebay cheaper than this. However If you've never played Nocturne before It could be argued that the experience of playing nocturne itself can be worth it for that price.

But that's a personal evaluation. As product in the gaming market it still very overpriced.
Isn't some of the dlc japan exclusive? also i would just download a rom before buying something secondhand above retail
