Can't fuse Samael after not fighting him in Diet Building

Guess that's just how things are, but i can fuse Futomimi even though i didn't fight him.

For Samael, according to Heretic Mansion, I use Titania, Sparna and sacrifice Tao Tie (Vile),
but will give me Throne instead.

As far as a I recall, Samael will not show up outside of the Diet Building boss fight. Anybody else know a way to get him for 100% compendium achievement?

I'm afraid you'll have to go NG+. Samael is one of the special demons you can only fuse after you defeat it (like the Fiends or the Seraphs)

Yeah, thought so. You can fight him as a regular Demon in Digital Devil Saga, so i wasn't really sure since these games look and play almost the same :)

So if you go full Shijima Reason, you can't get full compendium. I wonder why they designed it this way. Kinda unreasonable. Don't remember anything similar happening for the other Reasons.

It could be worse... if you go full Yosuga you'll miss Uriel, Raphael, Gabriel and, by extension, Michael and Metatron

If you go for the Shijima ending, Samael will join your team for free upon meeting up with Hikawa in the Tower of Kagatsuchi. Pretty sure this unlocks him for fusion as well. So yes you can complete the compendium without going to NG+
If you locked in the TDE after skipping the Samael fight though, you might be out of luck

Also, just to correct this, Throne becomes eligible to evolve into Uriel after you clear Mifunashiro, irregardless of if you fought the angels at the end or futomimi.
