Expanding on what _Pele333 said, bot matchmaking should stop occurring soon after you research and play a battle in your first Tier VII tank. Alternatively, consistent good performance in matches against bots will also eventually result in you being exclusively matched against real players (though I believe the exact details of what the game considers to be "good performance" in this regard have not been disclosed. My guess is that it's based on how high you rank among your teammates at the end of matches, and probably also takes into account the amount of medals and mastery badges you get). You can read more about bot matchmaking yourself by following this link to an official Wargaming article: https://worldoftanks.eu/en/content/guide/general/matchmaker-for-low-tier-battles/
I have been through the beginning phase of WOT weeks ago where you begin playing first with only bots before you are able to play against humans.
Now I sometimes play against only bots because there are no players to match with at the moment I guess
Well, you won't be punished the first time you do it, but if you continue leaving matches before your tank is destroyed, you'll be temporarily banned. The amount of time you get banned for varies depending on how many times you've been punished. I believe it goes something like this - (1 day -> 3 days -> 7 days -> 14 days -> 30 days)
Switch to a more populated server. Like, switch from SA to USC.
