2. There is also plenty of options to get things for free if you really want to, and opportunities keep coming. For example recent update of the bond shop, tournaments for gold, marathons, the list goes on.
3. This sounds like it won't do anything. Nobody looks at the good player in the team to follow, and I barely look at the team composition mid-game anyways, just to see how many tanks are left and where's my team. If you really left the game because this feature is not implemented then you are most likely the first person to do so. Besides, the amount of XP you get doesn't always mean you know what you're doing.
He wasn't only one who did that.
Anyone who has been playing World of Tanks for a long time would give a lot to know who is actually on their team — a newbie or an experienced player. The experience earned directly in the match is a great way to understand that. Personally, as a player who consistently ranks in the top three by experience in almost every game, it would be extremely helpful if other players, seeing my contribution to the match, would listen to me and respond to map pings when I ask for something. If 15 players can see who is really carrying the match, they’ll be more willing to assist and stay close to the skilled player rather than the newbie. This feature would benefit everyone.
It will not work because most players don't care about the rest of the team. A perfect example is a battle I had yesterday on Serene Coast.
I have 3 marks on my E 75. I begin the battle on the north spawn of the map and make my way to the 9 lines. Several players saw I had 3 marks, and none helped or followed me. I have over 2000WN8, and sometimes I am alone on a flank. Players with XVM know my stats but don't care.
Most players will always go to the same spot, no matter what happens or who is on their teams.
Your three marks on the gun can only be seen by those who are near you. If they were displayed next to your nickname in the player list, the whole team would see them. That’s exactly what I’m trying to say.
I m happy for you you 3 mark , and your sacred wn8 , but
My dear prophet shi fu , can you stop a day , come here for talk about your stats , and see at all other the world , how you so great , and the chance with have read you ??????
How about you stop making threads whining about this game and improve to win more often so you can stop blaming your teammates for your losses?
Again, why are you replying when you don't understand what is said?
Marks on an E 75 are pretty hard to miss. =) You suggest that at the start of a battle, look at who is the best player and follow him. The problem is that it works both ways (bad players following good players and good players following good players). WG could add our WTR score next to our name, but as I said, most players always go to the same spot and don't care about what's happening on the map. How often have you been alone on a flank because the 14 other players on your team all went to the other side?
Dude, if we held a vote right now on what WoT players prefer more — some meaningless numbers next to the names of 15 players or the number of marks on the gun in the same panel — I think the result would be 90% to 10% in favor of the marks instead of the numbers. And that’s not even mentioning the ridiculous thing like the “Steel General” medallion above tanks at the start of every match, which doesn’t mean anything at all. It’s complete nonsense that nobody needs, yet the developers still added it to the game.
Mark percentage?, yes.
Marks but no percentage? No. Really no. Like a "seriously this is pointless" kind of no.
I've seen a number of players over the years with 3 marks who either;
- Had the tank in question years ago and can no longer play at that level in it,
- Tanks been Changed/Nerfed since they got the 3rd mark,
- Hasn't played the game in a long time,
or,
- the account has potentially "switched hands" in that time...
(Im sure you've seen the ones with 3 marks on the tank, but 60% or lower on MoE. Few excuses for that one...)
Marks alone don't equate skill. Not like they should anyway.
I've got a number of 3 marked tanks, but i haven't played in a long while. Im most certainly going to fall into that 3rd category if i started playing again....
And yes, i stopped playing this much at all due to the absolutely horrific "Team" that is normally more of a hindrance than help... The balance of a lot of new tanks vs old ones, and premiums like Progetto does not help that at all.
That's why I'm saying the best solution would be to display at least the top three experience leaders from the current match on the command panel. Imagine this: the whole team can see the top three players by experience throughout the match, and their positions in the top 3 shift from time to time. It's not only engaging, but also useful.
Do you know how many patches will arrive to fix this? Likely none its been almost a year now of really really fast battles and they havent even dropped a single patch. The developers stated offically that of things ever got out of hand they could increase all tanks health. Well they lied... All they care about of striking deals for battle pass and they unlike other game developers who release weekly and monthly balance patches tend to let the problems spiral for years. They only announced the bog september update as well because Steel Aces is going to launch without the greedy peaky blinders and girls und panzer.
Personally, I wouldn't listen to some guy telling me to do something in a game, no matter their stats, because I am playing my own game listening to music, not even paying attention to what's said in the chat.
Besides in my experience nobody listened to suggestions or help when I asked. I don't see why it would change have they seen my "xp earned" in the battle (which is again not an indicator how good you are in the game in general).
In the beginning of every battle, every person has same amount of XP earned, doesn't mean that everyone is as good of a player.
This would be yet another feature that nobody asked for and nobody would use. I'd rather devs fix some maps instead of implementing whatever this is
