Impossible to grind to is7

I have a IS and i need that second canon cuz i use the main canon and i started to loose so much that i cant even have fun in the game and the ping is wery high plus i remember how they put me in 2 tiers higher battle with the main canon u cant pen anything and ur armor is wery small for a heavy in that tier even B1 has better hull armor even tho its on tier 4 so wargaming has to buff the Is cuz its imposible due to u having no pen so is main canon can have 150 mm pen with AP and 175 with premium shells so to make it balanced it will deal 200 damage with AP and Premium shells so the reload will be 10 seconds and if your gunner is taken out it will be 17 seconds

+2 tier is just insane stupid. should be the same tier or max. +1 , everything else is just awful. knowing ok, i cant penetrate 50 % of the enemy team, and if i peak iam 1 shot, is horrible

hi, I can give advice about the IS on the 7th tier, use not the 125mm gun, but the 100mm, it will be more comfortable in terms of play, regarding equipment: rammer, turbocharger and enhanced hardening. I think your skills are intuitively correct. About the tactics of the game, you should not become a forehead, there is a hull of the first IS tanks, it is weaker than its Chinese or premium counterparts, you need to play a diamond, if you are 2 levels lower, then act as a support tank or wait until the enemy discharges into your allies and only then hit weak zones

+-2 levels, that's normal, only some vehicles feel bad, like the IS-M and the like. I just want to remind you that before the system was +-4 and 5, and especially for light tanks

I know it is frustrating, but it isn't impossible.
You will occassionally get battles where you are facing tier V vehicles instead of tier IX. That's where you'll have to do your best work.

I dislike the +/- 2 matchmaking, but it is set up so that you will get battles where you are the overpowered vehicle. ... at the cost of more battles where you are basically worthless, especially as a heavy.

Have the same with T7 IS, but i managed several times to be in the top 3 damage even in +2mm and with stock gun. I have the 2nd 122mm gun, but I think the 100mm is better due to 0,38 dispersion, that allows you to snipe and negate the +2MM a bit and support your top tier heavy from the 2nd row.

Heavies should have a +1-2MM or something like this, because you rely on armor and that doesn´t work most of the time in a +2. There are also many T8 OP Premium Tanks and T7 heavies are in general in a though spot, you either land in a T9 match and/or face T8 OP Premiums.

Not unemployed, just patient.
And, I've been playing this game for 12+ years. I've done the grind, and have every tech tree tank researched except the new Brit heavies.
It isn't a single player game, it is a competitive online game, and sometimes it sucks.
If you don't like it, stay at low tiers and club baby seals for funzies.

I'm up to the IS-3 and I found the KV-1S to be far worse than the IS due to the fact it catches fire if someone even looks at it. I've had multiple 2-in-a-row fires on the KV-1S. The IS armor is terrible, I agree. Do you have any "Free" experience to use? Can you do a conversion of Gold to Free exp? If both answers are NO, then adjust your ammo to have more HE and just try to damage crew members and tracks. You're only talking about a few games to get enough exp to unlock the 2nd gun. (maybe more, but you know what I mean)

Also, if you are tier VII against VIII and IX, run with the mediums. Anyone with a brain would understand why you're doing it. That would give you a better chance to penetrate, although the medium guns are very good.

Hey mate! As others have said, in an IS you shouldn't rely on your armor unless you're fighting Tier V and Tier VI tanks. In a match against Tier VIII or Tier IX, you should use the IS as a "Heavium", that is to say, a heavier medium tank. As long as you use the 100mm gun (as others above me have specified it has better accuracy and applies more consistent pressure on enemy tanks due to the faster reload), you should be able to fight even tier VIII mediums without being as outgunned as you are against heavies of higher tiers.

So, to put it simply, when you're in a match against higher tier tanks, go with the mediums, not with the heavies. You'll find that your IS is a lot stronger against higher tier mediums than higher tier heavies.
