What is the difference between Steam WOT and the wargaming one?

I have an old wargaming account. Is it worth restarting here or no? Is it the same player base once you are in servers?

You play on the same servers with the same players.
The only difference on Steam is that there are additional bonuses from Steam, which do not happen often (for example, a unique 2D camouflage), and you can also purchase some items using Steam funds. But if you have a well-pumped account, then there is practically no point in starting over.
