it's becoming ever worse because by the patch because its' turned from a game with a steep learning curve to casual trash
The negative reviews are mostly from haters. Seriously. They downloaded and played the game for 20 minutes just to leave a negative review. You can't trust any of those people.
Germany is a decent choice. Personally, I'd avoid SPGs and TDs of that nation. I believe that Germany's best vehicles are mediums and lights. Both Leopard lines are fun and enjoyable.
I recommend giving the game a shot. You might not like it. However, I've enjoyed my time with the game. With over 11k battles played... I can say that grinding is a little too hard, but otherwise the game is fun. You just have to space-out your time playing.
Tips? Hmmm... You've played WT. So, most of that applies. Don't spend money until you hit tier VI. At which point you (probably) need a premium tank of a nation/type related to your favorite line. (Avoid all premium vehicles below tier V.) A premium account is VERY helpful at reducing the grind at tier VI and beyond.
I wanted to leave more tips, but I'm out of time to type this. So, I'll simply recommend looking up and invite code. These codes can start you with premium time, a premium tank, and a handful of gold. All for free. Not bad at all. I recommend PewDiePie's code. (If it's still active.) It'll start you with an Excelsior. A fast heavy tank that can be played like a medium.
It's not p2w. It's probably going to seem like it. It's easy to believe it. Don't. Do not waste money thinking it's going to make you win every game. I made that mistake. I only "got good" when I stopped spending money, and started playing smart.
I hope this helps and answers your questions.
I am one of those players, you can even check my WoT stats for clarification.
The game is objectively becoming trash by each update. Recently, they screwed up Frontline. I think you'rs simply in denial and as such lying to the OP.
I can link literally any WoT stats, change my Steam name to match, and then claim it as my own. Means nothing.
Thinking a game is bad is a subjective opinion.
Don't know anything about it. Sounds like you're still playing, but hate the game. That makes sense.
I'm just trying to be helpful and give advice. Unlike you, that came here to troll and be a hater.
I can see why you call yourself a "princess".

Just gonna go ahead and block you now.
Most of the people who gave the game a bad review on steam were angry because they couldn't login and play on steam with their WG accounts. Some of these players still play the game, so take steam reviews with a pinch of salt.
Best to watch gameplay footage on youtube and decide from there. And as for P2W, well it's debatable. I don't believe it's P2W and I been playing over 10 years. But if you want some of the best premium tanks, you will need to pay.
But also to play these tanks, you will also need skill. WIthout skill, you might as well pack up and go home. To play well, you need knowledge of the tanks, maps and game mechanics.
Again, Watch gameplay footage to decide if the game is for you or not or download, play and try out.
I suggest you try out the game, dont pay for anything, and just see if you like it. Just keep in mind that this game has no end game. There is no greener grass at tier 10, things at higher tier only get more expensive and grindier.
Yes, there are alot of negative reviews, but you need to take into account that steam review system can only give a thumbs up or down, with no neutral/middle ground option for your review. Most reviews that point out the issues with premium ammo spam, matchmaking, and vehicle balance, all make very good points. These problems are real and have been present in this game for years and are just part of the game. You either can live with it or you dont.
About your vehicles:
Keep in mind that every tank line has a certain playstyle, and when you try the game and discover what you like and do not like in a vehicle, there is very good chance you will end up playing completely different vehicles than the ones you intended for initially.
German tanks for example, have some decent vehicles like the Leopard's at tier 9 and 10, but those are high tier tanks. The high tier economy of the game is harsh on free-to-play players, so while players might point you to a number of tank lines chances are you wont ever play the high vehicles of these tank lines!
You will need to be a consistent good player to not lose credits on high tier tanks. If you're not one of those players, its probably best to stick to the mid tiers where repair and ammo costs are alot cheaper. This goes for most players who dont spend a monthly sum on their premium account and/or buy a premium tank at the price of a full AA-title videogame to grind credits a little bit faster.
You also mentioned p2w:
There are some genuine concerns about premium tanks that are outperforming the regular vehicles. The fact that these vehicles will get removed from sales rather than nerfing them only adds exclusivity to these vehicles, feeding a sentiment to players who also want one, that the game is even more unfair that way.
i don't understand anything crew and food and extra parts what the hell is all of that
the game seems so complicated
War Thunder Seems Easier but Trash at grind most p2w in their
My main reason to play World of Tanks its the E-100
I want the E-100 In Warthunder you can't get it if you not a the tournaments or unlimited Try hard and they even removed the Maus buz they can't balance same thing with IS-7 only event tank and event was so trash and now E-100 cost 2k USD and it out of market and IS-7 over 1k USD cost
and most of these Tanks Are Rank 6 and Face cold world stuff wish Have Heat ATGMS helis and APDFS and APDS
Been playing for years and I don't think I can even think of one time that I've had an issue like that. You just need to know the mechanics of the game. Just like any game, it's not for everyone but in my opinion it is one of the best.
You basicly pay if you dont want to have grind. You can get premium ammo and camos etc. with no money with silver. Gold is the premium stuff here.
But yes. It is a good game. Devs need to make their living so there is premium stuff etc. but they are not forced and you can enjoy for free!!! :D
Steam name means nothing, but every WoT player on any server has their own stats. This isn't claiming anything, statistics are constant and reliable source of information on any player. Whether or not people want to show them is another question. I can't speak for them but only relate to most reviews. They don't ''claim'' anything, its' a fact that ever since 2017 WG keeps turning the game into some kind of casual trash because that is exactly what 90% of the playerbase consists of. WoT used to have a steep learning curve, it doesn't have that anymore because people can just skip tanks with blueprints and other pay-to-progress options, and then get disappointed in their shiny tier 10 tanks simply because they have no clue of what they are doing in the game and the cycle repeats.
Again, this isn't ''thinking'', there's freely available objective statistics for most of the OP tanks that show how much they overperform when compared to most other Tier 8 - Tier 10 tanks regardless of sample size. Most good players are aware of the bad changes that keep happening, it's simply a matter of either dropping the game or dealing with it.
There's your answer - you're literally saying that you don't know what you're talking about, which makes all of your posts here completely redundant because you have no experience in the game itself.
No, I don't play the game anymore and I certainly don't hate it, I am simply watching things at a distance to judge whether or not its' worth it to return to it any time soon and most available evidence makes me lean towards ''not really''.
I have 6000+ posts on WoT EU forums where I've mostly given advice and ignored trolls, reported s**tposters. Everything I've said in this thread so far is purely objective and is based on concrete evidence, there's nothing ''subjective'' about the information sources I use.
Ahh yes, blocking someone, because they don't lean in the way of or agree with whatever nonsense you're spewing.
Since you've got no real arguments that could potentially back up any of your ''claims'', it basically points to the fact that all of your posts in this thread are pulling strawman or using fallacies. Makes sense for a private profile with a level 0 Steam account, aka, a s**tpost alt account. Pathetic really.
Please don't join any forums if you've got nothing of value to add and you're just acting under the pretense that people around you only ''assume'' or ''claim'' things, when in fact most of them are just using blatantly obvious sources of reliable information which somehow slipped through your hands. That or you're simply in denial.
@OP
Try out the game, but don't pay for anything until you've made up your mind. While I won't speak for others, but I myself - while having spent a decent amount of cash on the game in the past - am not paying any more cash simply because I am disappointed of the recent changes in the past 2 years, to which developers most likely just don't pay attention to, but act under the pretense that 70% of players globally accept the changes, which is most likely falsification. They keep adding features that nobody ever asked about.

It's definitely pay-to-progress, but pay-to-win? There's plenty of people who've made fortune in WoT and didn't pay a single cent. You're just cherrypicking things and establishing facts out of them. Higher tier tanks is one thing, but cheats? There are none, and if there are, most of them are client side that can't affect the server in any meaningful way. Cheaters in WoT were always worse than actual professional players who've spent thousands of hours mastering game mechanics, and unlike, skilled players with vast knowledge of the game, get banned frequently.
"Premium'' ammo can be bought with credits. All that matters is if you're looking at them from a rationalist or spammer viewpoint. And no, I don't deny that's there's a lot of gold spam, but to claim that you buy gold spam with ''real money'' is just flat out not true, at all.
Unfortunately, that is the case. Most of the freebies can be earned only through grinding nowadays which only serves as more basis for people to leave the game permanently.
