Can't start the game.

Him just installed the game and when i try to start a message pop up saying that the game must be started under steam to work (i started from steam ofc)...and only option i have it's to close it. I did a verification files but i get the same thing, any idea?...Thanks.

Hi, could you write a ticket to WG support? The link to EU page - https://eu.wargaming.net/support/en/, for any other just replace eu with your region (ru/na/asia).

mate WG Support are just a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥ sitting in a office that have no idea what they are talking about, they were telling me to buy a new fresh start of windows and take out 2 hard drives like ♥♥♥♥ off

Well first of all please don't swear, second of all if anyone knows why the person can not log into the game it's WG support, since they have a much more detailed data regarding logs.

Game wont start

It says Unable to login The game must be launched via Steam log in correctly. Yesterday all fine but today this error pops up.

This happens for me too. It worked fine yesterday and then today the game crashed after a match and ever since that I have not been able to log onto a server. Game starts loading, but I get this same error message once it tries to connect to the server.

Same here. It worked yesterday. It doesn't work today.

I click 'PLAY' in Steam, the launcher loads into my account. I click 'PLAY' in the launcher, and after the splash screens it shows my username on a dropdown I can't access because it's covered with the "must be launched from Steam" error that closes the program when it's closed.

Fwiw, I am playing under Ubuntu 24.04

I did a verify, no luck.
I did a re-install, no luck.
(I also switched from Proton 9 to Proton Experimental, with neither one working)

I tried Warships, it fails at "CONNECT" where nothing much happens, except more chances to click "CONNECT".

I tried Warplanes, it works.

Every time today that I've tried Tanks, "launch from Steam" error.

Are you logging in as your steam account or your WarGaming account? I thought I could login via my Wargaming account but it doesn't work. Gotta start from scratch if you buy the game via Steam.

It's a free game ,if you bought it on Steam you're a dufus.
