Was going to leave a review, but because I havent played this game on Steam, it wont let me so Im posting it here.
I have 12 years into this game.....
This game used to be fun. It used to be team orientated, used to.
So this game used to be strictly based on TEAM play because well, its 15 on 15. PVP at its core.
The game now supports single minded play and doesn't care, nor even supports winning as a team. You have a gazillion things to accomplish as a single player, but nothing as a group. This destroyed the game for me. The game only caters to dumb people with money. Easily offended, GREAT this game is for you. Just drive around to get your participation trophy, and report anyone who you piss off along the way as they will generously ban people for conduct unbecoming of a snowflake.
The game has become a money grab and nothing more. They actually have 3, yes 3 levels of premium for you to pay to win.
1: WoT premium. Cost you about 15 a month unless you buy in bulk.
2: WoT plus. Cost 9 dollars a month for more stuff.
3: The monthly Chapter march. Like all games you can pay even MORE money to get extra crap every time you go up the chapter tree.
The game was EPIC before all this was implemented. now its just tainted with personal occupation and agendas.
And yes, there are still hacks ingame like warpac and other things they give players advantages.

Alas, I agree with you. But I think, first of all, the players have changed their attitude. Perhaps this has become less important and fundamental for the new generation of players. Of course, the economics of games requires a slightly different approach, and sometimes it's difficult to combine all this. But don't forget how many wonderful people we found in this game. My geography of communication has expanded enormously. I found so many friends and we actually met, traveled to different cities and countries. That's what keeps me in this game. Well, I love tanks anyway)))

That's cool. Few will respond because they seek only negativity. Of course there are issues and we can be only so demanding when something is free to play but some don't get it. I'm glad you are able to make positive connections in the game. I've been asked to squad up, particularly after the rare decent performance, but don't like to be hitched to multiple matches for too long (I might decide to rage quit after 1-2 games) so seldom have done it. I also have yet to use a mic in the game. Those who build squads and use comms are often the teams who are geared up better than the lone wolf types and consequently roll teams quickly. This is even in lower tiers BTW.

When I quit years ago it was because I tiered up too quickly and felt just like so many here. I had no clue I was way in over my head.
Some dude PM'd me after a game to tell me how poorly I had played. I was offended but didn't start name calling or crying - he wasn't wrong. Over several PMs he went on to share far more than he had to, posting links, etc about the weaknesses of each tank, best spots to hit, and all sorts of stuff I no longer hear mentioned. It's still part of the game dynamics. It was way too much and I had to tell him I was not able to put in the study hours. I mean there were some serious guys out there. I assume they have been hanging in tier X for a long time and are all perk'd up.
Reducing this to "unfair" match making and money spent is a bit naive and sure won't help anyone do better.

Yeah .. That's a lovely story .. If you don't mind me saying also slightly made up .. But people in the real world have tired of this game ..

When you go into a game and get destroyed by artillery .. who is just some idiot at the back of the map getting free kills and another guy who spams gold apcr ammo at you .. its clearly pay to win ..

Never mention the fact that when your not on premium, 90 percent of the time your be put on the bottom tiers .. it's a mechanic in the game, so engineered .. and so rigged ..

If you love the game .. that's great .. but it's a pay to win setup .. Just saying it isn't won't change the fact people believe it is ..

lots of bots in lower tier games. most players now are playing 7 and higher in premium tanks lol

i agree with the pay to play side. always had a premium account and one or two premium tanks but thats about it and was always competitive. now that there's premium plus (which ive never gotten) i am always on the bad side of matchmaking and it not even remotely competitive. the older premiums i have have been nerfed so much they may as well be tech tree. the constant nerfing of tanks and introducing new op af premiums is getting old. its not even pay to win its pay to even stand a chance now.

It's a shame that WG made such a mess of the game, they added too much garbage and destroyed the game play.

All these paying players playing dumb to the fact that free to play players don't make hardly any credits in game especially tiers 6 and above .. so cant buy loads of apcr gold ammo, when paying players spam nothing other than gold.
Then there is all the weird match making and mechanics going on in the game, too many people saying exactly the same things, for it not to be mechanics developed into the game.

You know what really sux. Some of these pay to win players are so awful that they want even better premium tanks because they still have problems competing in an environment that doesn't give them guaranteed advantages when playing against truly skilled players who don't spam premium rounds or buy a ton of fake skills.

Thing is for the right price WG will listen to them.

Nobody is playing dumb but you can screen shot your favorite hated pay-to-play cheater's stats right after the match.
Right click to his service record. Under that are all his stats in that tank. So easy but none posted. Only pics I've seen are a player who posted his garage with no built up crews and all highest possible tiers for him. Nobody else.
If you don't have money in the game(ie, tried to pay to win) then why stay here in this hot mess. WoT clearly has a spell on you guys. I'm fortunate enough to be able to leave the game for months at a time(to live a real life) and also resist the lures cast by WoT to tier up. It's a game, after all.
Such frustration isn't necessary. At least post some screen shots of these players. I'm not in those tiers so I'd love to see what their win rates are.

I'm a free to play player .. So the rigging doesn't overly bother me ..

Not frustrated .. but will call WG and their game out for them giving paying players a hand up .. WG openly admitted they had to change the game play as it was obvious people paying for gold ammo were gaining too much of an advantage.

Played tier 9 last night .. Was highest tank .. Used apcr for first shot .. fired straight in the middle of enemy side .. as it neared, the shot disappeared .. lol .. gave it the benefit of the doubt, maybe I was confused .. waited .. fired second shot also apcr .. watched the shot go straight for middle .. disappeared .. zero hit .. also done it for the third .. then i realised there was only me and another guy left .. all within the space of three minutes.
Was about to cry cheat .. but then logically the shot disappearing wouldn't be the player .. It had to be the game.
Weird behaviour .. believe me .. I wish i had of been recording .. Would of loved to have put that on you-tube and call out WG's BS rigging ..

Seen too much of this BS .. which is why me and others have stopped playing as much.
