Yeah, it's like being a trans guy bragging about how good you are competing in womens' sports.
I have tier III crews with more skills than that.
I wouldn't worry about all that statistic nonsense .. Everybody has agreed its pay to win .. So its meaningless ..
As mentioned in another thread, what are the victory rates of all your tanks? Go check.
Yeah agreed i reckon guys who play WOT don't get any chicks .. XD
I haven't put a dime in for about 9 years.
I've focused on campaigns (still haven't gotten obj 260 or Chimera) and researching all tech tree tanks (every time I get them all, a new line comes out. need 4 more... again, sigh)
When I first started, I had an average Ping of about 170. I played a lot of arty, sticking with M37 and SU 26 almost exclusively for about a year.
I was active in a clan for about 2 years, but I prefer solo play.

There it is, warts and all.
If you actually want to improve your stats, without paying money, there are ways.
Whining doesn't help.
1 build experience.
Crews are more important than tanks. (although this new crew system certainly has gone a long way at erasing that)
Gain knowledge of the maps, then tanks, and how the game is played by each tank on each map. There are maps that, at a certain tier, can be controlled by a single spotter in a particular bush 90% of the time. If you don't know how to gain that advantage, or negate it... you're going to suffer.
2 Only go up a tier if you are confident you've mastered how to play at your current tier.
Difficulty plateaus at 3, 5, 7, and 10. If you want to play tier 10, you've got to put in a lot of work both in game and learning the meta game. For me, it's just not worth it. If you look at my stats, tiers VII-IX are where I play most games. I have over 49,000 battles, and I still haven't gotten to the point where I can reasonably do tier X. Is that a skill issue? Maybe. I think it's more of an education issue, as in I don't have the time and interest to put into mastering the very top. So I play where I fit in. Life is less frustrating when you find your place.
3 platoon up, preferably on discord with people you know and can work with.
I don't do this one, because I'm not a social person, but think of it this way: there are 30 players in each match. Normally, you control just 1/30, that's less than 4%. If you platoon with other players, you at least ensure that one tenth (3/30) players aren't idiots. Even better, they're on your team.
I would guess that, when I did platoon with other average players, my win rate was about 5% higher. That is: well above 50%. Life is just more pleasant when you win.
4 Especially early in your career, don't go back to the garage when you die.
Instead, follow other tanks around. See how they play, find what works, and what doesn't. See where scouts, arty, and snipers set up so you can avoid them (or hunt them down).
This is particularly useful if there is a tank you haven't yet played on your team. You can see how it plays and what its quirks are before you get it. Learn by someone else' mistakes.
5 don't use mods.
Mods can mess with you. They can be deceptive. They can lead to target fixation. They can just screw with your frame rate, reticle, timing... They just aren't worth the headaches they cause.
BONUS HINT: if you are doing poorly, stop early.
Not only will losing a lot make you frustrated and angry, but there is a part of the algorithm that looks at how you've played lately. If you've done well, then the match maker puts you in more difficult matches. If you've done poorly, it puts you in easier matches.
So, if you've had a really good day, then chances are your next day will be miserable. And vice versa. Don't force yourself to play on a day when the MM is literally out to get you. If you have good MM, then keep battling away until it changes.
Anyway, i'm just a very average player. In some tanks, i'm above average, in others I'm below average. In some I've gotten very lucky, in others I am useless. This advice is worth every penny you paid for it.
XD .. That makes two of us .. The only attention I get now is out of pity ..
When I quit years ago it was because I tiered up too quickly and felt just like so many here. I had no clue I was way in over my head.
Some dude PM'd me after a game to tell me how poorly I had played. I was offended but didn't start name calling or crying - he wasn't wrong. Over several PMs he went on to share far more than he had to, posting links, etc about the weaknesses of each tank, best spots to hit, and all sorts of stuff I no longer hear mentioned. It's still part of the game dynamics. It was way too much and I had to tell him I was not able to put in the study hours. I mean there were some serious guys out there. I assume they have been hanging in tier X for a long time and are all perk'd up.
Reducing this to "unfair" match making and money spent is a bit naive and sure won't help anyone do better.

Exactly this ^ and that's why so many people are so frustrated with MM. Knowing that no matter what you do, you're going to lose sucks in every game I've ever played. That's by design in this game. Last night I had 7 fires in 5 games! It ended up being a pathetic night of WoT.
I have had far too many matches (usually 4 out of 5) where I am expected to battle +2 tanks I can't even pen from the side with premium rounds. It's like being in a boxing match with both hands tied behind your back. What kind of contest is that.
If gold paying underachievers really need that kind of advantage then maybe WG should just give them bots to shoot at and let the real skilled players duke it out on a level playing field.
This is exactly what I'm talking about with my "bonus hint".
If you've played well lately, MM puts you in more -2 matches.
That sucks. It'd be great to get on a roll and simply improve, but that's not the game we play.
So, either quit early that day, or play a tank (arty or scout, maybe) that you can use in battles where you are undertier.
Trying to play a heavy on those days is just painful. A low tier heavy is just a slow target for higher tier tanks.
It is up to you to suffer or adapt.
