Yea its my favourite way to play the matchmaker +2 tier isnt fun but Frontline is. I finally feel like Frontline gives a taste of what world of tanks would be like if they removed the +2 -2 and made the maps larger.
The only thing i dislike id the ui isnt moveable, cannot hide certain ui things and generally too bloated of an ui in frontline.
Devs had a version of Frontline where you would have tier 8s and tier 9s mixed together. But it was rolled back to just tier 8s because playing tier 9s wasn’t very popular.
Most players play Frontline to farm credits, as it’s pretty chill and efficient. From one game with reserves and squads you can make 500-700k credits. And you also get the same amount of them no matter if you lost or won.
I think that if it was split between different tiers (tier 7s only for example), then ones outside tier 8 wouldn’t be very popular for the reason above, players mostly see it as a nice way to farm and have fun. Even in randoms tier 6/7 are very unpopular, hence it would be really hard to find games in frontline setting.
