War Thunder has no invisibility and you do either penetrate an area or you don't, it's not RNG based.
War Thunder is more skill based and World of Tanks is more casual.
Problem with War Thunder is that you get to play 3 tanks instead of just 1 and you get kill streak awards like in COD where you then get to fly a plane and just annihilate enemy tanks. Sometimes less is more, I find WoT only giving you 1 tank to play per match superior, because then you value your life more. The COD kill streaks are just ridiculously unnecessary.
Both games suffers from scummy business practices and can not be grinded to end tier unless you either have no life or open your wallet to pay to progress. WoT have p2p AND p2w though so that's actually worse. But they're still both trash for this.
I play both, depends on the mood, but I don't play to progress, I just try and enjoy the games for what they are. However hard that might be. Sometimes I actually load up Arma 3 and play some tanks instead.
The moment a tank game comes out that is competitive but doesn't suffer from all the nasty stuff these two games suffer from, I'm outta here in a heartbeat and I know a lot of other players are as well, probably the majority. Unfortunately, at this moment, these two games is what we've got and have to make due. GHPC is nowhere near a ready enough state to be played.
War Thunder is the best .. Its a lot more polished ..
It just does everything so much better ..
There really isn't any skill in world of tanks ..
It's more of a scratch card than a game ..
War Thunder has become pretty bad over the past years.
So it's neither.
Depends on which one you can play? With these kinds of cheating in the game. You have to know how to spot them and be able to play sore of. If this make sense.
Once you get past this. Then it become which you like more. keeping in mind both are a p2w model game. If you are 100% free then get ready for a grind and a lot of losses. Then it some what evens out.
The only advantage I would say is Ear thunder has a better wild card with their plane.
I stopped playing war thunder for 2 reasons. I seen too many teleporting. And the moderators will instantly give you a chat ban if you even make the argument you would like a pure north american server, because you want better ping all around. Fair argument but you know some people power goes to their head. WOT is more lax with their rules to a point. You can make a good argument.
So it really depends on a lot of thing. Just try them both out and maybe put your views on the forums as a new player which you like better and why.
Yeah .. but not as bad as WOT ..
At least the mechanics are some what credible and realistic ..
Do you now have to fight invisible enemies in WoT?
because you may have to in WT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxdHn9bgIOo
Same happens with planes, there's 0 planes visible in the sky and suddenly out of nowhere 4 planes shoot at you and stuff like that...
Sure, the mechanics are realistic, but it has a whole bunch of other issues atm...
Sounds like you have a setup issue or bug ..
Never experienced anything like that in game ..
But i do have my graphics and depth of view maxed out ..
You certainly don't experience the rigged matches like WOT ..
it's a bug, someone mentioned something about it being caused by the anti-cheat programm.
I know when i started in 2019 it never happened. But now it's a very common occurance...
