Most beginner friendly line to play?
Im mostly a WoWs player but i figured i kinda want to try out WoT, the highest tier i've ever gotten in here was in tier 5 in the churchill 1 but that was like 5 years ago, i havent played since, at this very moment, what would be the best line to start off with to learn mechanics of the game and not be frustrated by not knowing game mechanics? and i suppose the questions, what kind of gameplay i like is kind of irrelevant as i have no clue lol. Thanks in advance for tips.

If you start with "beginner friendly line" when you get to the "beginner unfriendly" ones you'll want to stop playing... learning the hard way sometimes is the best way.

yea, the first guy had it right. Russian mediums and heavies. Wargaming is a Russian-based company, and you need only look at how much larger the Russian tech tree is than literally anyone else's is to see just how biased they are.

If you want an easy time, but dont want to play russian, play USA . Wargaming likes to cater to the big money-spender nations so it goes Russia, USA, then everybody else. Oh, and avoid Japanese tanks. Japenese superheavies got castrated by the HE nerfs, and Japenese mediums just suck in general because of their low pen, low armor, and larger size up until at least t8.

At for what line...arty if you don't mind being called a spineless coward by 75% of the community. Arty is the most broken and low-skill class in the game as it is basically a top-view click-the-tank game with absolutely no risk to yourself unless a light tank somehow gets lucky enough to slip past your line of raging Russian heavies. So if your looking for easy, then arty is most certainly easy.

Now for mechanics. Russian heavy tanks are eigther well rounded heavy tanks, or light armored but vary stealthy tds, or super fast but weak scout tanks.

USA tanks are eigther light hard hitter tanks and scouts, Fat head heavies with enormous turrets for hull down tactics, or uber-slow well armored tank destroyers late game.

Germans lights are well rounded scouts with accurate but low damage guns, German TDs are usually either medium strength guns with mediocre armor, or light with decently high per shot damage.

British Tanks are almost entirely focused on just armor. There are exceptions in their mediums, but generally, they are slow-moving and well-armored juggernauts with good pen but mediocre damage cannons.

French Heavies are unreasonably well armored but slow. French mediums and lights are fast, poorly armored, usually small, and usually armed with high pen medium damage cannons.

Chinese just rip off the other nation's tanks and have occasionally slightly better guns.

Japenese Superheavies just suck because gold rounds just ignore thair armor and HE nergs killed their DPS, and Japenese mediums are garbage until T-8 where they become hill-warrior hull-down machines with medium grade guns.

Never seen an Italian tank in action so no comment.

Polish tanks also use hull down tactics because of their large turrets on their heavies but I have never seen any of their other tanks actually used on the field so I dont know how good they are.

Czek tanks are entirally built around their autoloaders, and they conduct themselves as such, doing good burst damage but somewhat lacking in armor.

Russian Heavies and Mediums are the best all arounders

As far as beginner friendliness goes, in no particular order:
Russian Heavies: IS-7 line>IS-4>Obj 705A>Obj277 (easiest to hardest) Generally balanced tanks with very good mobility/protection ratios, nearly impenetrable turrets bouncing even gold ammo; Kinda bad guns in terms of precision.
German Heavies: E-100 line, although T10 is very prone to be gold spammed (Still quite easy to do favorable trades) But Tier 9 and Tier 8 are among best tech tree tanks in the game. I would avoid Maus or Pzkpf VII lines
Japanese Heavies: Honestly its hard to find easier tanks to play (outside of arty) but people are right to generally discourage this line. Its easy, but on higher tiers You will get butchered by gold ammo.
USA Turretless Tank Destroyers (T110E3) line is quite easy to grasp, and very effective; Unlike with heavies You shouldnt have problems with penetrating whatever is in front of You while still enjoying excellent armor.
Russian armored Tank Destroyers (Obj 268/4) Quite good line for beginner but not all tanks in the line got dependable armor. However tier 10 may make You feel like a God, very powerful tank ("Excess" mobility may get You killed fast as a newbie tho)
German armored Tank Destroyers (Jgpz E100 line) Tier 10 is quite easy to play. Huge penetration and single shot damage pretty much guarantees You trade shots well. However armor is very unreliable and tanks leading here are not that easy to play.
Russian mediums (Obj 430U>Obj 140 difficulty wise) Outside of bad/average gun depression very flexible, balanced tanks. Avoid K-91 line as those meds are very specific.
German "armored" medium line (E50M) decent medium/heavy hybrid, fantastic gun and ramming platform, great hull armor and kinda bad turret. Tier 9 is incredibly strong. A bit harder than russian mediums, still very comfortable to play for a beginner.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have level one "Reaper" decals on all my Level 1 & 2 light tanks of every country...

People who start with only Russian tanks or only heavy / destroyers because they're "easy" usually stay playing them and nothing else.
Might as well just buy and use only premium ammo too and make it really easy... none of the three will help anyone become a better tanker or improve skill.

Where's the fun in playing only easy things? I just don't get it... oh well, have "fun" OP.

Big mistake, Learn easy heavy tank like IS3 IS6 IS7 then you get abused by players who learned a harder class first.

Two players one learns medium one learns the heavy. The heavy is easier but your strength aka armor can be bypass with an ammo type. The other classes do not rely on armor therefor there is no ammo type to counter you. Therefor it is best to learn a medium in my opinion until Wargaming actually balance the game and remove the ability to bypass one of the game classrs strengths.

You can start British tank destroyer line and get to AT-8, very fun to play, has tons of armor in front and you can go toe to toe with anyone with them barely even scratching your tank. This is just one of my opinions.

But as others have said, russians are to go and most forgiving.

Take it from me. I have played for over a decade and have just about every good Tier 10 from doing competitive CWs. I was a Medium specialist. I ran the USSR tanks some, but 90% assigned to a Batchat or Leo 1 for Clan wars. Do NOT play these lines or similar. They are very punishing and the 10s are not great for solo pub play.

China is the best line to play hands down no matter what people say. They are fun, modified versions of other tanks with more turret armor and huge guns. Someone commented China is just some countries rip-off tanks. Well the higher tier of Medium and Heavy tanks are just better versions of USSR meta tanks. The Russia tier 10 tanks are better serious competitive play but the China 7. 8. 9 tier Medium and Heavy tanks are godly in squad or solo games and ♥♥♥♥ on everyone.

dont rush to tier10.
it makes no sense.
play all lines at the same time.
that´s how you learn the game.

Any heavy tank line, specially the big ones like E100, Maus and friends. Then the Fast/more versatile ones, like IS7, Conqueror. After that the heavy TDs are the next easiests to play, like E4, E3, etc. Then the Support/Broken heavy tanks, the autoloaders.
