Steam link to existing account.

Theres no way to link my existing account to steam?

No. He want link pre-exist WOT account to pre-exist Steam and keep old ingame profile data. But there is no such things as linking accounts to Steam. Only Steam can be linked to 3rd party services, in this case to Wargaming account.

It can work only in one way. Either make linking possible - with autocreation of acc and move steam storefront subs/"dlcs"* etc to newer acc, or useless linking Steam acc to old Wargaming acc without moving store subscriptions, which is basically same as no linking actually. You cant add Wargaming acc to Steam, technically WG can make you available to add ingame profile link to Steam without real linking between them. Steam has no function to add something to Steam, except Facebook (no more such functions), Sony PSN (no more such function) and YouTube profile (the only remain linking to Steam acc).

The login issues to existing accounts are just a con. When I launch this on Linux with Proton, for a split second you can see the traditional launcher in the background, like you would have on PC, before the updated front end changes to the 'Register for a new account again and waste the last 10 years of game-play and start all over in the hopes your buy more gold' screen. When I launch the WOT executable on PC, bypassing the launcher, you can login to the game directly and play, the launcher is not required for authentication to the game servers.

I would say this should be a VERY easy fix... to allow for existing account logins. Either way, the authentication process probably still points to the same damn server at the back-end, regardless of which platform is used...
