Gold Ammo and Matchmaking

Have to say this game useless unless your use gold, matchmaking is still ♥♥♥♥, 14 games today all end 15-1 / 15-0 / 15-03, this is not fun, in T26E4 I went from 78% win rate to 33% in two hours, this game is not free to play, but free to lose, or pay money and win, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game

probably for the best. I've redownloaded the game several times and always gave up after the ♥♥♥♥ MM always tossing me into uptiers and getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by arty in the few tanks I consistently enjoy

Don't get the started on Arty, biggest own goal wargaming have scored, I got killed by one shot from tier 9 / 10 arty in my time, but wargaming main purpose in WOT life span, is to make as much money as possible before it goes tits up.

you have to understand that this game has hidden rng that determines if your shot has enough penetration even with ammo like HEAT or HE. You only see so called average penetration but that is a lie because in previous versions the ammo information showed min penetration with AP & APCR which have additional rolls called normalization of penetration. It is in basic terms game screwing you over with penetration.

For instance tier 8 med tank has average pen of 208 at max range it is reduced to 152 then you have prey to god that the game will not roll this in CQ combat wher you have 20 meters between you and enemy. And if this was not bad enough you have the normalization that in theory should improve things but it usually screws player over by another 25% downgrade to penetration.

And this is why there is a lot arty and HE spam in the game because even gold-turned-premium-ap/apcr-rounds suffer from this to put it simply you can have 292 pen shell shot at weakspot at point blank range and do zero damage because either bounce or the game will just roll a critical hit for zero damage in other words shell wasted while in case HE you will almost always deal damage and in terms of credits spending it is sometimes the best option.

You didn't need premium ammo, you just suck. If you quit games because you suck and think it is the game's fault the how are you still playing games?

I bet you work for WarGmaing?, if not please take your Wargaming tinted glasses off, and see all posts in forms about premium ammo and how unfair this game is, my advice to you is to read before open your trap,

Didn't say anything about premium ammo, I think it is a cheap p2w mechanic that isn't necessary, but your problem has nothing to do with prammo, it i simply this. You can't aim so you blame it on the game

That's a lot of misinformation right here. The moment you fire a shot, the pre-made stack of numbers (between -0.25 and +0.25) is applied to your penetration and damage. The shell also loses penetration based on the distance, but the function is linear, for example a shell loses 5 mm of penetration every 50 meters, and it is not random. Also regarding random in general, people tend to remember bad things, while I had a lot of situations where the rng saved me, and a lot of situations when it didn't. Everybody has equal conditions after all. Also the penetration reduction is applied every 50 meters, so if you lose 5mm of penetration every 50 meters, it will be reduced by 5mm if the distance between you and enemy is 99 meters.
