Also for anyone who finds this, only press when it's on green. Yellow is just your instructions I guess? Even knowing when to press the timing is seriously off for the last two. I stand by my statement this should be removed or changed to just a cut scene of Yuna dancing.
The in game instructions are misleading, and most of the timing is off on both mini-games. This sort of thing should always be optional side content, not progression blocking bullshitery.
The timing isn't off. The only possible cause could be if you are using a wireless headset since these often have a high delay from what you see visually to what comes through your headset.
The game gives you a bit and asks you to repeat it, that's it. There isn't some secret strategy to this, it's very simple and straight forward.
Didn't fail it at any point, just do what the game tells you to. Follow the metronomic beat and hit the button and repeat the same pattern that you were shown.
You mean the timing wasn't off for you. It was for me and many others who I have seen posting on the forums here. Good for you! Still shouldn't be a mandatory dance game.
Yeah the timing wasn't off for me because it works as intended.
I don't know what else to tell you, the problem isn't the game mate.
It's not copium , I made it past, and finished the game, but I had a bunch of trouble with them because for ME the timing was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ off. I had to press a few seconds after the actual Que to do so to get it done. Glad yours worked correctly, mine did not. Others have had a similar experience and have made their own posts about it in the forums here. Believing your experience is how everyone else's is by default is the height of arrogance. Either way I stand by my statement, mini-games like this should be ignore-able and not blocking the main story. They should only really be there for people who want bragging rights for beating them or getting a perfect score. Honestly making statements like: "The fact that people struggle at this minigame is beyond me." Just comes off as arrogant and make you sound like an ass.
Because once again, there are probably other factors playing into this than "the game being bad" and you seem to be completely ignorant to that fact.
And "Believing your experience is how everyone else's is by default is the height of arrogance. " same can be said about you tbh.
Your playthrough might be bugged, though I doubt it since I have done the dancing minigames 5 times now without any issues on 3 seperate save files. The game can't just "magically" work for me and not for everyone else buddy.
And who is doing these for bragging rights? Any of these minigames for that matter?
I may come off as arrogant and sound like an ass, but you're in denial.
I'm not the one in denial here friend. I admit and already admitted that for you, it worked great. Bugs, glitches and the like happen for some people and not for others. This one happened for me and several others, and in doing so, impeded our play-through of this game. There are all sorts of factors which may be the cause of that. If the music mini-games were not there in the first place, this would not be an issue, so yes it's a game problem since we all have different hardware and the only way to ensure it doesn't effect a number of people is to remove it or edit the way it works. I am not the only person experiencing it, thus it's not a single hardware issue, it's a bug/glitch that effects a certain percentage of the user base.
How exactly does your second point apply to me? I never once claimed my experience was what everyone experienced.
As for who does these things for bragging rights, there is a reason speed-runners are a thing you know. This one might not be it, but you never know. Sometimes people choose the weirdest things for it too. Ever see the speed run competition for that tower in FF14? Why that one tower? It's just one tower in a huge game. No one can predict what weird thing they will pick, sometimes things just take off.
Before I thought you sounded like an arrogant ass, but I take it back. Your knee-jerk response, posted so fast you didn't even bother to spell check, your overly defensive tone... Honestly you sound rather immature now. I feel like maybe I have been arguing with a teenager or someone who never grew up. That is definitely a point against me. So I am going to call it here before I find out I was attempting to reason with a CoD kid lol.
