Storybook DLC Rose Spawning Issue
So White Roses and Slate Grey Roses are both required for quests to progress the DLC story. I've been waiting for them to spawn, and wasn't finding any. After a couple weeks of this, I went into decorating mode to see if I'd get a better view and found that the max number of both roses spawned.... in the fortress and island that are blocked until I get those roses.

I'm at my wit's end. I can't move them in decorating mode because you can't move anything in those areas in decorating mode. I can't access them with my character until I finish the quests to unblock those areas, but I can't complete those quests without getting those roses. And Beast's greenhouse only does basegame flowers.

Is there any workaround? Because otherwise I'm stuck and can't move forward with the story. :/

you dont have to finish any quests to unlock areas, all you need is storybook magic. you can look up how to gather magic quickly, theres a few videos on the topic on youtube :) alas i have one rose i cant get to still since the place it spawned in is unreachable by foot in the fortress and i dont understand why they made it so things can spawn there but didnt check to make you can actually, you know, reach them as well.

I think he's talking about the quests to open access to the Trial areas like the Fortress itself. Where flowers/etc annoyingly spawn, but you can't use the Vacuum or editing mode to grab them.

(for me, I've got two grey flowers and a red in Teapot Falls that are non-interactable. I can't pick them up directly, and they don't show up in the vacuum's menu. Luckily, I don't need them right now.)

Correct, I'm talking about the quests you have to do to access the Trials ("Curiouser and Curiouser" where you need the Slate Grey Roses to craft the potion, and "The Fallen Fortress" where you need White Roses to craft the armor). These are the quests you have to do to access the blocked-off Trial areas. And the roses I need for those quests all spawned in those blocked-off Trial areas. Which I can't access until I get the roses, but I can't get the roses without access to those areas. It's the max number of those roses that spawned in the blocked-off areas, so no more will spawn unless/until those are gone.

But they won't go away unless I can access them, and I can't. I can't access them with my character, and editing mode won't select anything in the Trial areas. I don't know what to do.

gosh right, ive already forgotten you need to do small quests before getting to the areas. heres a link to their actual supoort page: https://gameloft.helpshift.com/hc/en/66-disney-dreamlight-valley/contact-us/
i reported my rose bug and the more of us that talk about it the faster they will have to fix it.

also editing this in because i just thought about it, maybe someone else who plays the dlc can give you a few roses? i dont know if that works since its dlc but you should be able to trade flowers in the main valley at least. i wont be around until tomorrow evening but if no one has been willing to help you out until then feel free to add me as a friend and we can try it :)

I don't know why they didn't just limit loot spawning to the actual biome areas. Stuff likes spawning in those trial areas waaaaay too much.

(another place you can check for stuff is in the long pathway between the Fallen Fortress biome and the Beanstalk Marsh. Lot of stuff ends up there, too.)
