I was going through the U menu, and thought I'd take a peak at the Event tab. I do that sometimes, just to make sure I have done all I could on a starpath, or that there hasn't started one I missed.
This time though I got the option popup for dreamsnaps. Did I want to join or opt out? I picked opt out. The popup blinked and stayed. So I picked the same option again. And again. And again. Still couldn't get out of that darn menu to shut down the game.
So I pressed Esc, as, you know, that will take you back to the game. In this case though it instead accepted dreamsnaps for me.
What?
Why was there no other way to exit the menu than to accept dreamsnaps? Not opting out, not ESC, not anything? I don't want to join in the dreamsnap garbage! I'm not interested!
Ugh. Is there any way to opt out after the fact?

Like a lot of DDV UI- you are given options that don't exist. Why do we need to confirm our cloud save? It already happened- why push another button to confirm?

Fortunately, the dreamsnaps thing is easy to ignore. Unless you actively try to take part, you will never be bothered by it (joined or not). At least this is the way it works currently.

It is early access and you do get free moonstones, so they may have opted to force players to join to avoid getting hate mail later when folks figure out they screwed themselves by not doing the bare minimums to qualify and participate.

It would be nice to be able to opt out and just get a couple more blue chests each day rather than be forced to participate if you don't find it fun.

That happened to me yesterday. I just opted in, because what choice did I really have? i plan to ignore it the way I ignore the challenges.

you can just not enter any pictures, it won't prompt you to do it. Though it does give you free moonstones just for entering, 300 minimum and a lot of people get alot more. 8388 ranking got me 2500 moonstones.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm going to just ignore it. It still peeves me though that they give us the illusion of choice, but if you pick the one they didn't want, nope, sorry, try again.
