Buying Deluxe Edition question

Would appreciate your explanation: I own the Ultimate edition on Steam. If I buy the Deluxe on sale on Steam, will that replace the one I have?? Can I just get the moonstones added to my current game and not delete anything?? 14500 moonstones is $50 in game and Deluxe edition is about $31 now. Many hours played in this game and do not want to lose everything!

From what I can tell, you already get all the cosmetics in the Ultimate edition including those that would be from the Deluxe Edition. If you have claimed those items in the ultimate addition, not sure how they could be removed if you than bought the Deluxe Edition (assuming you can even do that via Steam).

Harder to say what happens on the moonstones. I would not take the risk that it would somehow truncate my balance instead of add those moonstones to my balance. I have a feeling that sort of deal making was not intended by Gameloft. Otherwise, everyone would be doing it to save money on extra moonstones.

I haven't heard any crowing from posters, so it probably is not a thing.

you would just get the moonstones for it and maybe an extra copy of the items that come from it sent to your mailbox. you won't lose what you have
