Decorating mode camera movement

So is the camera moving oddly in decorate/furniture mode for anyone else?

It keeps "sticking" and jerking, like it keeps getting stuck on something, when I move the camera around. Especially when zoomed out or when I'm also panning the view angle with the mouse.

It's not my keyboard keys failing, because normal movement in the game is unaffected.

Yeah, the camera in edit mode is having a rough time right now.

As a bump, I too have had issues since a relatively recent update, not the newest one. It's AWFUL, am not sure what it could be stuck on. I alternate a side button with my W and S keys to sort of zigzag it now which still doesn't really fix the hitches, it's really rough...

Workaround is to not move your mouse cursor while panning.

Unfortunately, no, that doesn't work. Perhaps for you which is awesome, but not everyone. My current workaround is left-click dragging to move the camera where I want, and it lets you do it even if you picked an item up! :D

Yeah, I discovered this. Seems all the little hitches were when I moved the mouse imperceptibly while holding it. So I take my hand off the mouse entirely, and I can move around smoothly.

. . . which is annoying, because the way I've always looked for the blue chest is by panning around all over the valley, while rotating the view with the mouse.
