Fishing
anyone else having a hard time with the fishing parts of the game, I do not know what I am doing wrong...but I cannot for the life of me, get the fish.

If you're having trouble with the fishing, it's because you're actually trying to 'play' a minigame while fishing. All you have to do is wait for the game to tell you what to do and you'll never lose a fish.

Toss your line into the water (press and hold right-click; release right-click when the circle is where you want it to be and that is where you will fish). Then, do nothing. Wait until you see the prompt pop up -- an image of a computer mouse -- then press left-click. Now, just wait until the same prompt pops up again, then hit left-click again; repeat until you've caught the fish. For white circles, you'll repeat the left-click twice, for blue it's three times, and for gold it's four times.

Do not worry about the circles or try to anticipate when the shrinking circle will be inside the green zone. Just watch for the prompts and press left-click when you see the prompt.

I haven't had any issues yet. Is this for all fish in all biomes?

Are you making sure that the bait lands in the middle of the bubbles?

Also once thje line is cast: press the button prompt when the fish bites only ONCE and then every time the big circle enters the small one and it turns green. Dont press it to any other time and do not keep it pressed.

If you are talking about the mechanics, wait until some exclamation points show up when the circle goes green to click.
If it is about a specific fish, you have to check the collection to check if you're fishing in the correct place. The yellow and blue bubbles are more difficult fishes, check out for them in the collection too, the more expensive the fish the rarer it is :)

Fishing, i find is actually easier for me if i don't watch the circles. You don't even have to look at it. I had a tendency to anticipate and sometimes hit early.

Then I realized I could simply rely on either avatar animation or sound. When it is time to hit the button your character lurches forward and a sound plays. I can now close my eyes after casting and catch them if I want.

Are you making sure that the bait lands in the middle of the bubbles? There are 3 colored patches of bubbles, and only those have fish in them.

Hate to be that guy, but technically the bubbles just increase the chances of getting fish. You CAN get fish in non-bubbled water, it's just a much lower chance.

That must take forever!

I've missed the bubbles and waited a bit and nothing happened, so assumed you couldn't get anything. I would still advise against fishing without bubbles!

Fishing outside the bubble area is usually for seaweed, is almost impossible that you get a variety of fishes without it
