Hardwood

I cannot find more than a few pieces of hardwood a day. I've been on this mission for more than 2 days. I only have one part of Forest of Valor unlocked and it is awful trying to find hardwood. I go multiple times a day and probably only find one piece each time. I don't know how to get them to spawn more or how to get more. It's getting really frustrating.

I should add that NO MORE hardwood has spawned since over 12 hours ago. NONE. Not a single piece of hardwood to be found this morning.

You can get more sand by digging it at the beach.

Maybe try untracking the quest? Or tracking a different quest?

I can't read all the comments here but people need to know:

if you need hardwood to spawn, make sure to pick up ALL the wood in the zone. Only so many wood pieces can spawn in a zone, and when wood spawns it is a chance to spawn any type of wood available in that specific zone. So, if you only pick up hardwood, eventually there will only be softwood.

Also, check your collection - foraging. You'll see which ZONES drop which types of wood. The type of tree does NOT matter! You can remove every tree and put down some hedge-type trees, and wood will spawn. I use this method in the forest in order to have a nice organized spot for wood to spawn.

Keep doing that but in the meantime work on dreamlight duties (they are easy) to earn Dreamlight and unlock other areas/realms, which will add more areas to search in.

In particular you should unlock Anna as that characters friendship quest allows you to clear the bridge in the Forest.

Yeah, I do. I woke up to 0 pieces of wood in the Forest of Valor. Not even softwood. I've googled which areas are better to get hardwood and ALL of the articles tell me Forest of Valor or two other ones I don't have unlocked yet. Forest of Valor so far seems the worst area to get hardwood. I get so much more wood everywhere else. Even on the beach. I can find more wood on the beach than in FOV. No problem finding any item besides hardwood. The only one I can't find.

There's a chance of a resource spawning in an area you can't reach yet/ haven't unlocked. If that keeps happening or you just got bad rng, eventually certain resources will reach the limit of the amount they can spawn and will stop spawning in the areas you can reach. Aside from wood, this happened to me with mushrooms and certain flowers.

^ This helped me out a lot. Unlocking new areas and progressing certain questlines definitely helped.

So far for me the best tip was to move my wells over to the inaccessible areas of each zone Trust, Valor. As noted, just pick up all the wood you can find, regardless of type in that area.

Best to bring a 10 friend in foraging. It did take me several real time days to gather all the stuff for the Minnie quest. The clock tower is kind of underwhelming given all the stuff you gather. I was expecting an epic size but it like an elaborate mail box. [spoiler/]
