Whilst not exactly your problem, I'd think it'd be worthwhile to start fishing in the Glade of Trust while it's raining again. Chances are you might just catch another glittering herring!
I even tried COOKING in the rain, hoping that would work but also nothing
I caught one, but being the moron I am, I hit autofill for the fish pie, and out of the massive ammount of fish I had in my inventory (took me a while to get that herring), it took the one glittering herring. So now I don't have one for the pickled thing.
I stayed out fishing in a thunderstorm for ages after that, no new glittering herring.
I was able to catch the Glittering Herring and combine it with the Dandelion syrup and DID create the Fish Pie that contained Elsa's request. The Fish Pie sits in my inventory with Elsa's pinkish Start thing representing the quest. However, when I ask her about the quest, she tells me to make the fish pie.
I'm screwed because EVEN IF I get another Glittering Herring I have no way to recreate the Dandelion Syrup.
I have all other quests completed for all characters EXCEPT hers. In other words, I guess there may be other quests with her AFTER this one is completed.
Now, I've caught back up to where I was.. got the mission and it was raining, so I thought **PERFECT** but by the time I teleported to the Glade, and cast my fishing rod, it friggin' STOPPED RAINING!! For my game, it does take days between rain cycles. This sort of "gating" quest items SUCKS!
Please.. someone tell me there's a way to force rain... please? lol
(I'm not willing to try time travel, as it screwed another one of my game tries, and had to restart from that, too...)
Thank you! I hadn't even tried it with the normal herring, I thought it HAD to be the glittering one! Wow, saved. :)
