[BUG] A Friendly Exchange - Wall-E won't talk to Ariel

I'm doing Wall-E's quest and I brought all the trading items to Wall-E, but when he goes to meet Ariel to talk to her, they don't talk and I cannot progress. I tried getting Wall-E to follow me to Ariel as a buddy and then saying goodbye, and I also tried physically pushing him to where Ariel was but neither worked.

Do you have the quest being Tracked? Don't know if it will solve it, but that's how I was able to get them to talk.

Yeah the quest is being tracked. I tried switching quests and going back to the Wall-E one but still nothing. He seems to be going down the the beach near where the beach goes up into the forest and is waiting by the water there, but Ariel isn't there

Oh okay it worked. I got Ariel to level 10 and completed her quest and she ended up in the sea near the beach where Wall-E was waiting and he talked to her

I had the same problem with Anna's quest where she has to give climbing gear to Kristoff. It took a while but eventually, they got together and talked. Wall-E did the same with Ariel. I wonder if these interaction only occurs at a specific time (like some people going to the restaurant or sleeping according to a specific schedule).

I have this currently, Wall-E makes a beeline to the beach every time I load, Ariel is there waiting for him and they studiously ignore each other. I have another of her Quests (Thingamabob) not being tracked but midway through completion. I'm tracking it and swapping out and telling Wall-E continue and nothing happens.

Sometimes buildings can accidentally be in the way of the characters' pathing. If you've got a building near where Ariel and Wall-E are trying to meet, try moving it temporarily to see if that helps.

Try this for Merlin and Ursula, too. Maui's home often seems to be the problem in these cases.

Same, Walle will not talk to Ariel :(

I got the items for a different Ariel quest and the two finally talked and all is well.

I have this with anna with the climbing gear... pretty annoying bug, fun game though
