Anyone else had it bug when building Remy's house?

When I got the item to build Remy's house I went to put it on the map, but then pressed B to cancel so I could walk around the map to look for a better place, but now the house has disappeared from my inventory and the quest wants me to use the Scrooge sign to pay for it, but it's nowhere on my map either. So I'm stuck and can't progress to get Remy! I have managed to submit a ticket to Gameloft (their help site is awful, had to find a link from a comment on Facebook to log a ticket!).

If I give up waiting and try restarting the game completely (I'm only 11 hours in, and most of that I wasn't actually playing, it was just running in the background) will I still be able to have all the ultimate bundle items on a new save?

Anyone else had this one?
