Since there are no official pinned threads for bugs and fixes, I thought I'd try to make one where we could compile bugs and fixes together and I will update and put bugs and fixes together in this main post.

People will be credited for their finds and fixes, and I'll try to update as often as I can.

If you have anything that needs to be added, please post and I'll be happy to add!

Make sure it's the tracked quest, then drop the fragment on the ground and pick it up again. That solves a lot of issues with the quest items that don't register properly. Good luck!

Frequently Asked Questions

When will you fix the bugs?
I'm not actually an official spokesperson for this game, just a player like you. I'm not paid to do this! I'm just doing it as a passion project because I see so many posts and so few answers! So I'm trying to put them all in one handy place! I am also no paid to do any of this.

I can't cross the bridges. How do I get across?
Do Merlin's quest line for getting rid of mushrooms, Maoi's for coral, Anna's for Stumps and Elsa's for Ice. To get across the Savanna bridge, unlock the next area, there's an open path through the badlands. You then complete Scar's questline to be able to destroy bones and you can clear your bridges!

I don't know how to complete a quest, how do I do it?
You can always go back to the quest giver for hints if there's a riddle! There are also tons of guides online that can help you, and lots of people willing to help if you're stuck. However if you think that the quest if bugged, please check the list of Bugs and Fixes for your issue!

I don't know how to make money!
If you're just starting out, the first thing to do is to build Goofy's stall so you can start selling items. If you've done that, then it's just about picking what you find the most fun to make money! Farming carrots is a favourite of some people, and others prefer fishing for hours, while others prefer mining for gems. Whatever you find the most fun will be the best option for you. So start making that gold!

Where are the items for level 10 friendship? I haven't got them!
You get the items for doing the quest that unlocks at level 10 for the character! However Wall-E and Minnie do NOT have their items in game according to most reports!

I'm having trouble with dream shards.
The recent patch addressed this issue and hopefully balanced out the problems with the dream shard economy! If you are still having problems, remember to feed your critters! They might have a nice present for you if you give them the right food!

Can I play the same save on my other consoles?
I believe so! Thanks to Nishimo for confirming this with their information on Switch cross-platform save information! Please note that bugs experienced on one platform seem to transfer across in some instances.

Is the game going to have online co-op?
Yes, it will in the full release! We don't know if they'll release this earlier or not.

How do I get rich soil?
Harvest crops! No need to dig around looking for it, just harvest your garden of veggies and you'll eventually find some! I did a test with 100 tomatoes to get a rough estimate of the drop percentage, and I'd say it's a 7-10% drop rate, so it's just really rare! You can do it!

Game Breaking Issues

1. Australian and New Zealand players will get Initialisation error 7 after logging out with the gold energy buff. This means that they are unable to log back into the game. Also seems to cause an error with food items where they will not always work the first time being used. (Fixed by changing your computer clock time zone to an unaffected timezone, though this does not prevent the issue happening again) -> Patch released 16/09/2022 Fixed issue

2. Save files are being lost. Issue cause and fix unknown (more information need - source multiple threads on Steam, unknown if issue is on multiple platforms, currently being advised to backup game save files)

3. Reports of new Initialisation error 5 -> seems that this could be related to save file issues Thanks PheonixBlade666! I'd recommend contacting the official game support for help!

4. Since Patch 2 (20/10/2022) the game has been reported by multiple sources as running poorly with poor frame rate and with connection errors! Assumption at this point is that the patch has not optimised as expected.

Quest Issues

1. Items that spawn after object interaction or objects required for quests can spawn in unreachable locations breaking quest completion. Donald's House being a major issue in this regard.

Above fix works for items that are unreachable on the main map and not inside houses. -> Patch on 16/09/2022 has fixed Donald's House spawning issue

2. Quest givers will sometimes not accept their quest items, leaving quest completion impossible. (Logging in and out seems to be the most often fix)

3. Moana's Boat Quest is reported as having a specific item drop bug, with the item being cyan in colour and either being hard to notice on the sand since it appears much like a shell OR being found in unexpected locations far from where it was meant to drop (IE near Mickey's house, Goofy's House etc) -> No fix or workaround needed?

4. Quest drops will bug out in Scrooge's Shop and other buildings where they are optional to complete (ie the character is not in the location for a quest related reason). The objects dropped will not appear (most notably memory orbs). -> 16/09/2022 Patch was meant to fix the Scrooge Shop issue, however most report that it is NOT fixed,

5. Elsa's cooking quest must be completed carefully or it will become impossible to complete due to a single item in the quest being easy to use too early or catch too early. -> 16/9/2022 patch resolved issue and patch notes have details of how to fix issues with further herring problems.

6. NPCs who need to be in a location for a quest may not show up and make the quest impossible to progress -> New patch has not necessarily fixed the issue. Recommendation is to have the 'follow' quest as your active quest and to not have any other NPCs following you (hanging out etc).

7. Wall-E Quest with fire-extinguisher hand in is glitched were objects will not appear in inventory and make quest impossible to complete -> 16/09/2022 Patch has fixed issue -> marydmoomey reporting this issue is also not fixed, have not seen many other reports on this, if true than it's highly possible the last patch fixed only one issue

8. 'A Friendly Exchange' Quest is known to be bugged, as the light bulb cannot be picked up (multiple reports) -> no known fixes

9. Elsa's may become stuck in her cave during the first quest and unreachable, making it impossible to hand in necessary quest items to upgrade the pickaxe. -> Have read that the cave is considered her home and that she will eventually leave. Most characters will port to other locations around the map randomly (ie the restaurant) so if you leave her for a while she should fix herself (theoretically)

10. Mother Gothel's introductory quest is glitched. Merlin and Ursula will sometimes decide they do not want to talk to each other by getting stuck in various places around the map. -> No fix reported as of yet, but would assume a quick restart should reset pathing issues.

11. It is possible to find duplicates of multiple quest items along with quest items that cannot be used as of yet. Including the notorious Glittering Herring, Swamp Water and many more. -> I would assume taking advantage of the chest removal glitch would sacrifice these items and send them to their burial grounds, godspeed herring, godspeed. Would not advise sacrificing items not yet used in quests.

12. The Secret Door for Mickey's final quest can be buggy if you put the wrong gems in. It may not allow you to change the gems to be the correct code -> no fix known at this time, be careful with your placement!

13. Anna's Rock Soup quest needs to be followed to the letter otherwise it will not work! You need to pick the spices before making the soup otherwise it will not register the soup being created. -> POTENTIAL FIX!

In the Frozen realm, look around on the ground for little rocks. DIG on those spots with your shovel to pick up extra craggy rocks. I had the same problem and this resolved it.

14. It looks like from most reports of quest bugs that if a quest requires certain quest items for crafting, you should have them in your inventory rather than in chests or the quest will not register the item being created in some cases (Mother Gothel's Willow quest, Anna's rock soup etc) -> Unfortunately if you've encountered these bugs, the items are used and it's too late, prevent the bug by making sure all crafting items are in your bag.

15. Ariel and Wall-E do not like to talk to each other on one of their quests -> Now has a fix! https://steamcommunity.com/app/1401590/discussions/0/6382186451025058809/

16. Multiple NPCs who need to talk to each other for Quests will not complete conversations. Either they will not path to each other, not complete the conversations or have other issues. -> No fix, not sure what is causing the issue.

17. Memories sometimes won't unlock properly leading to quests that rely on memories to be impossible to complete. -> Unsure of any fixes at the moment.

18. Ursuala's Lair Sweet Lair Quest as of Patch on 20/10/2022 does not have a paper in Goofy's house, prior to this update there was.

19. A Deal with Ursuala is reported as bugged as the pedestals cannot be interacted with as quest intends (holding crystals etc)

20. The Great Blizzard appears to be bugged on the second part of using the watering can. No current work around.

21. Boss Up quest can glitch out and not allow progress past the step to find a mystical sword in the forest of valor. -> no known work around.

22. Upon giving quest items to some NPCs the quest menu for giving the item may bug and stay open, forcing the user to close the game to reset. -> No known fix other than closing game.

Inventory Issues

1. Using some items results in them being phantom objects within the inventory, unsellable and unable to be dropped or movable to any other container. (Logging in and out seems a fix)

2. Some friendship rewards reported in multiple steam threads as not appearing in inventory spaces they are meant to be in ie furniture, character or clothing customiser -> One report that the items appear after completing the quest unlocked on the same friendship level, however many of the quests are bugged and cannot be confirmed

3. Objects may not be in your inventory when you re-enter the game -> part of the save instability issue?

4. Money is not being properly put into player accounts when recieved from quests.,

Object Issues

1. Current collectable spawn rates are 'broken' in that eventually all collectable items in biomes with a blocked area will eventually only spawn on the side the player is unable to access (multiple reports) -> current workaround is to move the area wishing well to the desired side of the map and collect desired items. ( TY to monsterparty, Shiiro and Xayners for their contribution!)

2. When 'crit' collecting an item the timer to collect the multiple spawns on a crit seems broken as the music will play but items will disappear, making a true completion of a crit impossible a majority of the time (Thanks belleofthebooks96) -> Fix is unknown

3. First Patch seems to have bugged item spawns of all kinds. either with their rate of spawn or with the ability to pick them. We're talking wood, mushrooms, spices etc. There is also an issue with planting food as it becomes uncollectable or bugged out in various forms. This INCLUDES quest items that need to be planted (IE Merlin's final quest)-> A potential fix is to use the time skip method to reset your game spawns -> Turn your computer clock forward by a day or more and wait for the day to pass, I have not had the bug so I have not been able to test this myself TY Clabunny, Crazycatlady, and CelestialLady for the bug information and to RyokuDry for the potential work around)

4. Chests disappear if placed in the way of where a door appears when purchasing a new room. Its contents however appear to somehow be intact theoretically given that any food items in the chests are still usable at any cooking spots. -> chests can now be in front of doors, but the doors are still accessible

5. HUGE issues with object placement. Items are not properly despawning when being removed so they do not show up back in the item inventory and are getting lost. Sometimes item placement will not save correctly, this sounds like an issue with outside and not with house decoration. -> Thanks to Calipeth for a lot of Object bug information! Still going through it and trying to figure out what has and hasn't been put in this list!

6. The plateau is meant to have fishing spots but they are not spawning on PC.

7. The Badlands are meant to have ravens but they are not spawning on PC. -> Fixed by 20/10/2022 patch

8. Applying the 'Even More' variety of Fishing Rod elixir may be bugged and not leave the rod as intended (meaning certain fishing items cannot be obtained) - currently no known work around.

Player Issues

1. Changing Clothes has multiple glitches (reported as only some clothing options working, clothing changing to different options on exiting the avatar customiser) -> Not confirmed fixed in patch, but reported as fixed by some sources

2. There's a visual glitch where the player's legs will clip through clothing or spin around? I'm finding the exact details hard to pin down, also reports it causes the game to become unstable. Please post more information!

3. Certain names seem to cause the Player to not have the entered name register in the game. The characters will refer to the PC as 'Player Name'. There are multiple reasons or theories as to why this occurs. Obviously censorship of inappropriate names, however some names used do not have any possible reason for censorship. -> There is currently no name changing in the game, but the fact there is no warning of censored content or unaccepted names is an oversight by the creators of the game.

NPC Issues

1. NPC characters will at times not respond to the 'follow' command (True fix unknown, trying to log in and out on my end only sometimes fixed this issue, need more info)

2. NPC characters can trap players in certain locations. (Chez Remy reported as a location - Thanks Xayners and RubyFlameLover) -> USUALLY if the character is hanging out with you, telling them to stop following will make them movable so you can push past and/or they will walk away on their own

3. NPC characters are no longer consistent in being movable (IE you cannot predict wether or not they will be an immovable object) => I would guess this was caused by the patch, not sure if there is a viable way to fix this on player side, and would need to be addressed by customer support.

4. Critters are not able to be fed. At times the inventory will not allow items to be given. -> all fixes have been tried and not worked. Thanks to Nishino for all the amazing information on this issue!

5. NPCs in Remy's Restaurant are not showing their wanted dishes for some users

6. Critters may not give out gifts for being fed appropriately. (Need more information)

Visual Issues

1. In Remy's restaurant there is a table with mysterious floating plates. Does anyone know if upgrading the restaurant fixes the issue? -> Upgrading the restaurant does not fix, thanks Eva Elskov

Loading Issues

1. Ursula's house is reported as causing the game to lock. ->

I'm not sure if you play in full-screen or windowed mode, but I've noticed I have to click outside the game and back in the game (or alt+tab] before it'll continue 'exiting'

UI, Control and other interface Issues

1. Controls sometimes stop responding and then sometimes just start working again (Game restarting fixes if they don't magically come back, honestly have no explanation for this)

2. There are various forms of UI function loss reported. Some are as severe as causing all forms of in game menu (Inventory, map etc) to be inaccessible meaning the game needs to be quit via eternal functions like task manager. NPC interaction is still available as is cooking and gathering. Reports of tool use being available vary (Thanks to Knight for a detailed contribution leading to a huge overhaul on this issue!)

3. The map may break after fast travelling causing only the player icon and the main well to be shown. Playing with the map may cause the menu to close but then cause the full UI crash resulting in the player to need to exit the game via external means (task manager etc)

Event Issues
1. Event items will sometimes on being bought not appear in the customisation inventory they are meant to be in but may still be greyed out as if purchased and currency appropriately deducted. (No fixes as of yet)

there aren't any fishing points in the plateau. there never have been any at all. i think that area is for when they release some of the lion king characters or the lion king world. i imagine they are leaving it open to allow for unique fish for the lion king quests.

It may of course be possible that it is the case for the PC version. A known one plays DDV over Steamdeck and oddly enough has fishing spots and also finds ravens. Of course I don't know if it's because you have the Ultimate Edition. Anyway, she has fishing circles on the Sunny Plateau and finds ravens in the Forgotten Land.

GAAAAHHHHKKKKK!!!

The quest, "The Singing Ice".
I cannot finish the mission because the *ORANGE CREST* is stuck in the wall & I'm unable to reach it since the clipping cheat from DOOM 2 doesn't work in the game.
Anybody else having this same problem as I am?

i have a bug in a mickey mission where you learn the fruit salad and i'm now stuck because i already digged it up and learned it but mickey still wants to look into the memory to gain infos about the location or better said he wants me to dig it up put the item was already digged up and used, now i'm stuck with mickey and progress his quest line and i don't want to restart again

I've got one. The Dreamlight Fountain from Donald's final quest doesn't seem to exist as an item in the game for you to place so if you accidentally delete it from the map you're not going to be able to complete the quest.

I'm going to make this a topic because I have this problem too.

There was NO ROOM for the thing to put near it. It's not just a narrow thing but a huge footprint for it because all the NPCs show up to be in the photo after it's placed.

Well, I moved the fountain and put the flags behind it where there was more room.

And now the quest will not progress.

I tried a fix I saw online (put it back where Donald had it but the entire place looks the same.

1, Wall-E will not give the level 10 reward after completing his final quest. Also memory that triggers the quest appeared while he was still Friendship level 8.
2. There is a bug where the Tousled Short Hair will not appear at all after purchase in the Wardrobe tab or randomly vanishes later. But sill appears in the Collections under Clothing.

Tonight when doing the Ariel - WALL E exchange quest, WALL E got stuck on the stairs going to the Pleasant Meadow.

I went back to get him and he was invisible. He was there on the map (M) but couldn't see or bump into WALL E in the game play.

I thought maybe my going by teleport did something so I had gone back to try to 'team up' (and btw during that quest, it's not offered.)

He still was invisible in the game - I was standing where the map put him on the map.

I quit game finally and opened the game and then he was normal again.

If it helps, he was normal again after I saved and quit the game, and then waited a few minutes, and opened the game to play again. (Thank heavens.)

I don't know if anyone has encountered this bug, but I keep losing characters. They just disappear. Usually I can go into their house and they will teleport outside when I leave but the map doesn't show the characters anymore and I can't find them anywhere. To clarify, I am at the end of what is in the game. I have maybe 6 more quests left and I can't get Anna to talk to Kristoff or Wall-E to talk to Ariel. I tried moving Ursula's house, because it was in the place where they were going to talk, but that didn't fix it. I have no idea what is in the way blocking Anna and Kristoff. I started a quest for Elsa, to enhance my pickax, left to make the potion and she's gone. Not on the map. Not in the place where I left her and no where to be found. I'm literally at my wits end. I'm able to play for 1 - 2 minutes and then I need to log out to fix glitches and bugs. It seems like the game has become more unstable the longer I've played.

Bugged Quest: Final quest of Donald

I made the mistake to re-place the dreamlight fountain of Donalds last misson BEFORE placing the ribbon next to it and finishing the quest. It seems that the game is now not recognizing that the ribbon has been placed directly next to the fountain and the quest does not proceed. I cannot remember where Donald placed the fountain in the first place, so just putting it back there will not help me unfortunately..
