I know I can get the moon stones for free just by voting their beautiful stuff. But there are many ways to get the moon stones for free?

Daily blue chest. Enter the weekly photo competition. Sometimes promo codes or given to you in mail. Pretty much any extra game version you buy will come with some, but that's technically part of the price.

Oh ok. I searched the promo codes on internet in 2025, and so far there only are clothes and items. No moon stones. Maybe they update the codes and include the moon stones?

Random moonstone rewards from codes & in the mail are pretty infrequent. I wouldn't really count on those as a regular source.

The Festival of Foolishness was listed on the expired codes I saw with moonstones, hasn't been one this year yet.

No, they mean that you sometimes receive them in the mail in the game. The little mailbox by your house, where the weekly Dreamsnaps results come, and announcements of events, and sometimes quest messages from the villagers.
