Nature & Nurture unlock
Ok all the hidden locks in this game are getting frustrating... The game gives no indication of how to progress with some of these major quests. What am I missing with Nature & Nurture? I plant the seedling in front of the pillar, water it, nothing happens for DAYS. I give up trying and look online for help, and I see people saying you need to max friendship level with Merlin. Ok... So I do that, and more days pass with no progress. I dig deeper online and then find out you need to unlock Wall-E. Come on.... So I do that too, and STILL nothing after several days.

Are there other conditions for continuing this main story quest? For a "play at your own pace" game, why isn't there anything in-game to point us in the right direction, why lock important events behind things that people might skip or ignore?

Sorry if that sounded ranty, just getting a bit miffed at the hidden locks. This was just one of several.

Need keep watering it. Mission itself warns you you need care of it for days. You can make it shorter if you use a potion that enhaces your watering can.

The problem is, other than when I first planted I have never gotten a prompt to water. It just sits there in its sprout form for days.

Now I'll admit it's possible that if it takes 2-3 days from ALL conditions being met, I haven't waited long enough. (We're talking real life days.) I waited after planting, then again after getting Merlin to lvl 10, and then again after finally going through the portal I was ignoring to grab Wall-E. (Although why he's a requirement, I have no idea.)

Are there any more hidden conditions that need to be met for this quest? That's a huge part of m frustration, these events (some lengthy) that require unknown steps that we might be ignoring if we don't play in the correct order.

No, you need no more requisites, just wait until the tree grows (and yes, it requires real time days). Maybe it keeps watered because before you checked it was raining.

Water it anyway, just in case it's a display error that it doesn't need water?

Ok yes that was it, I just had to be patient for longer. Counting the extra days spent without meeting the requirements it took about a real life week to finish this.

So for anyone who finds this post while struggling like I did, be patient! And make sure you have completed both Merlin level 10, AND have Wall-E.

I still wish the game would hint at these requirements... This wasn't the only quest like this, just the most frustrating so far!

Yeah, some quests can be frustrating when there are no clues how longer you need to wait, but yeah, 1 week of watering was the prerrequisite. Oh, also, while you progress, you should also increase your friendship with Moana, Scar, Elsa, and the Madrigal gal (not remember her name)
