Unable to catch shrimp?

Can anyone tell me why I seem unable to catch shrimp on Dazzle Beach? I know they come from blue ripples, but I keep getting other fish instead of shrimp. I mean, I'd like to make the wonton soup...

You get shrimp during the day, kingfish at night. At least, that's how I think it works.

(sucks when you need kingfish, and only play during the 'day')

edit: and every once in a while, a blue circle will give you the common/white fish. Just to annoy you.

There’s a YouTube vid by MrStarInSky about how to get the item you need from blue ripples. It’s a bit time consuming but it definitely works!

That would explain it! I'll try during the day with Moana by my side lol. She's almost my second bestie.
