When does Kristoff change stock?

So I hear in the last update Kristoff now sells iron ingots and stuff, but he still just sells the same 3 old items for me? I've also seen from other peoples gameplay that he sells up to 6 items for them? How do you 'upgrade' his stall?

I have six items in his stall. I don't remember how. But I don't think they have changed since the holiday update.

The limit on how many (of each item) we can purchase also got a lot lower.

To upgrade Kristoff's stall so that he sells 6 items, you need to get to friendship level 10 with him and then do his level 10 quest "A Broken Sled." Just a heads up that it takes a LOT of resources, so you'll want to start hoarding fiber, hardwood, iron ingots and tinkering parts for that quest.

Yeeeeeah, I'm on that quest now...and Minnie's for the clocktower...so I need a lot of iron...I always need a lot of iron. That's why I want to upgrade his stall lmao.

I hope you aren't expecting to buy a lot of iron from Kristoff because he only lets you buy 3 ingots at a time and after that purchase of 3, that spot on his stall will be "sold out" until its refilled with something else the next day. Sometimes he has gold ingots instead of iron, but the purchase of those is also limited (I can't remember if it's 3 or 5, but usually I'm not in dire need to gold so I don't pay much attention to the quantity for that one). Good luck on those quests!

If you bring an NPC on hang out to mine the rocks, that's the main source of iron ore. Unfortunately seems to be the only way. Briefly could buy a decent amount from Kristoff, but they seem to have nerfed that.

The good news is, bringing a hang out NPC along mining does seem to compile ore faster.
