BUT, for those who enjoy taking risks and live a dangerous life (lool), you can always... let me rephrase that: you SHOULD always make a backup of your save.. here is how:
C:\Users\[YOUR_COMPUTER_USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Gameloft\Disney Dreamlight Valley
Here you can copy a folder that looks like " steam_VeryLongNumber_r "
That is the folder of your file. Those playing on Microsoft Store have the same, it's title " microsoft_VeryLongNumber_r ". Make a copy of this every day somewhere on your computer. At least, if the game (or your kids) ♥♥♥♥ up your save, you have something to save your butt!
EDIT: BTW, sorry for your loss, 192h, it really sucks! :(
Otherwise, I’m really sorry!!
Savegame location:

I couldn't even let myself show I was mad or I would have said something mean to her but she still sobbed on the couch for an hour. Should have been me sobbing on the couch for an hour haha
Well try the backup things this time. Hopefully it wont ever happen again to you. Would be mad if my save was erased (either by someone or a bug).
