Failing to Retrieve Steam Account on Launch from Deck

I play DDLV on my deck and rarely have any issues. But today it's telling me this error message and won't go online. I've confirmed internet is working fine, everything is up to date, and Steam isn't down. I googled it, and looks like people usually only have this issue when steam is down for other games, but that it's a common issue for DDLV even though steam is working fine. Any troubleshooting ideas for me? Thanks

Not sure what happened but I tried "verifying integrity of files" and now it's working. I suspect something didn't take during the last update.

I had the same issue , i had made a Disney Dreamlight shortcut a year ago and thought i'd try getting in that way ,it worked ! once in the game i exited out completely then went on throught steam it worked fine . i hope that helps

Mine runs fine from the Steam Deck but fails to retrieve Steam ID on PC and tells me I am offline.
Ran integrity file check and it did not help.
Contacted Gameloft. They asked for more details and their webpage now states this is a known issue and they are working on it.

Go into the properties of the game and verify the integrity of the files. That worked for me.

So I just fixed this error for my wife on the Steam Deck.

For some reason, Compatibility Mode was checked in the properties of the game on Steam. I unchecked it, verified the files, and that seems to have done the trick!
