But none of the bugs I've gotten have stopped my progress. I haven't had a crash since winter 22 (when the "if a Villager levels up by Daily Conversation, it freezes" bug existed). I've had to restart the game maybe 3-4 times in Storybook Vale due to the "flowers stuck under the bridge" bug and the "camera becomes unstuck from the character" bug. The flower one is easy to avoid, don't try to harvest the flowers stuck under the bridge. :)
One big one to keep quests from possibly locking up, is to not pick up/hit/etc any quest-related items in the world until the quest tells you to. Which can be hard to do, since the rest of the game conditions you to pick up that sparkly stuff as soon as you see it. :D
Quite a few of the quest problem posts over the years have been "I picked up the <whatever> too soon, but the quest says I still have to pick it up"
I'm almost done with the new content (still need to finish Hades's lv10). Harvest item spawning is messed up in various ways (flowers under the bridge; many things spawning in the Trial side-zones instead of in the main map areas, so the Ancient Vacuum can't get them; some mossy logs spawning in the ocean), and Snippet helpers running off when they want to give you extras, are the only 'major' things I've had issues with so far. Okay, and the camera disconnect bug that I've seen twice.
So, yeah, minorly annoying, but quite playable.
We'll see how the Dec 4 bug fix goes. (plus what new bugs we get with the main game content drop. :D)
Yes, yes it is. Right now I have a quest that is stuck (not related to expansion), I can't progress and worse it isn't even listed as a bug on Trello where they track their bugs.
They focus on new content and not on polishing what they have, which is untenable.
An update will be released tomorrow that fixes a LOT of bugs.
I see more serious errors like the game not opening or when you equip a skin from home the game doesn't even work.

I play on PC (Epic Games Store) and so far have been lucky not to have had bugs that stopped me from progressing a quest.
If you are worried about that and are playing on PC you can try preparing a manual rollback save https://steamcommunity.com/app/1401590/discussions/0/4628106985313747662/
