Yeah, I'm not crazy about the decor either. I thought it was going to look a lot more, idk, magical or luminescent?? When I first saw it, I was underwhelmed.
HOWEVER. Your suggestion worked, thank you! I cleared absolutely everything out, and then finally the baby dragons spawned in there.
Oh my they are so adorable! They could start making colour variants of them to sell in the shop and I'd start buying things for once.
On the topic, sort of, I have to say I love the look of the Bind, and the Elysian fields (what very little I have unlocked so far) is nice and bright.
I believe the SBV biomes were deliberately large and flat because players wanted space to decorate (pave paradise and put up a parking lot, more like).
The critters are quite small so they can be hard to spot. Also, they are allowed to go into the lanes that lead to the adjacent biome, so sometimes they are "hiding" there.
If I have trouble spotting them I usually just stand still and watch for movement, and if nothing appears, move forward a bit more.
Was wondering are you using glider to chase the critters? in my experience gliding to chase them will make them not want to stop / takes way longer to approach versus running after them without using glide.
