Poor performance
Recently my wife who I bought this game for has noticed big drops in FPS. To around 15-20, specs are AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, 32 GB ddr4 3200mhz and Nvidia 3080, all latest drivers. I've tried all the graphics settings with no change in performance. I dropped everything to low and borderless full screen etc. still 20 FPS. Convinced something is up with this game or certain elements. Or I have something the game doesn't like? Win11?

If I teleport back to the main valley/maps, performance is back to normal. So, not sure what I can do about the ARIT maps (and, the fact that the DLC maps are hosed for me is what prevents me from buying the newest DLC as well).

I have exactly the same problem

My clean uninstall/reinstall "fix" lasted for about 1 play through. Now, I was playing for 30 minutes and performance went back to crap on the main map (simply after walking from one end of Dazzle Beach to another). Entering and exiting character/my homes didn't help.

Jumping out to Task Manger, the game is using 3% CPU, 3% GPU, 0.1% Disk, 0% Network and 2.4Gb Memory (of 64Gb). Minimal resources in use, yet FPS is in the single digits.

This game is beyond frustrating. :steamfacepalm:

So, new update/same garbage performance. With the added 'fun' of the main valley now being a stuttering mess and experiencing black/frozen screens for 3-5 minutes when leaving a floating island or my house. Ridiculous.

If I want to play this game at all I'll have to play it on my Steam Deck. Pretty bad when a $500 PC can play the game, but a $4000 PC can't. :(

have you all the processors and energy to go with ? Sometimes people buy an extra pc without proper material and the pc is slow.
Plus if you run the game with other apps or program in background, if you don't clean your cookies, and so on, or if you game is full of decorations, that will dowgrade your game.

You uninstall it with revo ? If not, your register is still full with old codes. But if you do a clean uninstall, you will erase all your profil, even the things you earn, except is you are with cloud (maybe).

Yes...it's a Corsair i7400 that I didn't build (this time) and has been running great for almost 2 years. I've also been playing DDV since early access and I've never run into this persistent performance issue. About the only thing that has changed lately is a DDV patch right before (or, at the same time) as the new DLC release...prior to that, the game was running fine.

Yes...I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall the game (having it remove all registry entries and files)...I didn't lose anything as I use Cloud saves.

I'm also not the only one running into this same issue, since just recently.

Like I always tell support: It's not my PC, it's your app/game/network/etc! :)

lol I understand, my bug 's chest game is fixed but my pc is lagging too now. I hope they can fix that soon. I really hate freeze or lag when I play (I can pass a bad story telling, bad graphics, but not freeze or/and lag in game).

ps : I have no clue if Corsair i7400 is good since I just play and some IT in my familly makes my pc. I just want a great one which run fine with modern games.

Simply, see if there is an update for your graphics driver. If you have Nvidia, you open the Nvidia App and look for a new version of Game Ready Driver. When mine gets a new update and I havent installed it yet, some of my games mess up bad. But get fixed after update.
If it is up to date, you may want to lower the view distance and shadow resolution. You may want to enable or even disable V-Sync. Some games dont work well with v-sync. I have mine off. But all my other settings are on max. So its weird that you are having issues.

Yes. I'm also on Win 11 (since it was released) and have no issues with other games (other than D4 with the crashes from their new DLC!). I'm running an i9, 4090 RTX, 64GB RAM and M.2's for system/games. I doubt that my rig is the problem as the DDV issues seem to change based on their updates.
Really? I got an i5, Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti with MaxQ or something. Im trying to remember. I know Im almost spot on. Also, 21gb ram and on a laptop, I play this game on max. And D4? I assume thats Diablo 4. I play that on max with no problems too.
Anyways. Not trying to turn this into a d1ck measuring contest. Lmao. So you of all people shouldn't be having issues.
Tho, I can play Monster Hunter World on max with 4k textures enabled but my friend with a beast of a gaming rig couldn't. I thought I knew computer specs. But Im playing games on high or max with zero problems that CanYouRunIt says I cant play at all. Like Elden Ring. RE4 Remaster. Maybe its my fine tuning I did in my Nvidia Control Panel.

No worries. I have a great gaming rig that SHOULD run this game with no issues (and, it has in the past). The D4 (Diablo IV) crashes are an issue that have affected many players since the new DLC.

My rig runs all other games at Max/Ultra/Raytracing-On settings with no issues, but this little gem is the thorn in its paw. I've attempted many, many grfx and display setting changes and though some have helped immediately, the performance issues eventually come back on next play through.

I don't have the time or patience to put into debugging my DDV issues, anymore. I'll just walk away and check in every couple of weeks to see if maybe they've patched/fixed it.

On PC, I am using NVIDIA, since the Sew Delightful update my game has been sooo laggy i couldn't move more than few steps before the game would slow to a snails pace. It was unplayable. The only thing that has worked so far has been to clean the NVIDIA cache. Once I did that my game has been running very smooth again. I am hoping this might help someone else.

Having never cleared my Nvidia cache, I was hoping that this might also be my fix. But, it wasn't...main map is still OK for performance (for a short play session), but ARIT maps are still trash for performance.

Now, my game crashes my pc everytime I go outside the house. That's annoying.

@thegalv Sorry to hear that! Hopefully after the latest update we just had, things will be better!?

Im having the same issue. When I go to the new area Eternity Isle the framerate drops do 15FPS. No changes in grafics settings... the GPU usage drops to 10-20% -.-'

any ideias why?

Thanks! No...the newest patch changed nothing, for me. Main map is fine. Eternity Island map is fine for the first 2 minutes, then it flips a switch and drops to low FPS/lag/stutter. I can recreate the issue, every time (travel to The Docks, walk around and then into Scrooge's store...look around the store, come out, then as soon as I walk up the stairs to the portal fountain area, the performance drops by about 90% and stays that way). Not sure if it's those exact steps that cause it, or just that it takes a couple of minutes to happen (so, routine vs time in map), but it renders the game unplayable (well, unplayable if you wish to keep your sanity!).
