I have exactly the same problem
Jumping out to Task Manger, the game is using 3% CPU, 3% GPU, 0.1% Disk, 0% Network and 2.4Gb Memory (of 64Gb). Minimal resources in use, yet FPS is in the single digits.
This game is beyond frustrating.
have you all the processors and energy to go with ? Sometimes people buy an extra pc without proper material and the pc is slow.
Plus if you run the game with other apps or program in background, if you don't clean your cookies, and so on, or if you game is full of decorations, that will dowgrade your game.
You uninstall it with revo ? If not, your register is still full with old codes. But if you do a clean uninstall, you will erase all your profil, even the things you earn, except is you are with cloud (maybe).
Yes...it's a Corsair i7400 that I didn't build (this time) and has been running great for almost 2 years. I've also been playing DDV since early access and I've never run into this persistent performance issue. About the only thing that has changed lately is a DDV patch right before (or, at the same time) as the new DLC release...prior to that, the game was running fine.
Yes...I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall the game (having it remove all registry entries and files)...I didn't lose anything as I use Cloud saves.
I'm also not the only one running into this same issue, since just recently.
Like I always tell support: It's not my PC, it's your app/game/network/etc! :)
lol I understand, my bug 's chest game is fixed but my pc is lagging too now. I hope they can fix that soon. I really hate freeze or lag when I play (I can pass a bad story telling, bad graphics, but not freeze or/and lag in game).
ps : I have no clue if Corsair i7400 is good since I just play and some IT in my familly makes my pc. I just want a great one which run fine with modern games.
If it is up to date, you may want to lower the view distance and shadow resolution. You may want to enable or even disable V-Sync. Some games dont work well with v-sync. I have mine off. But all my other settings are on max. So its weird that you are having issues.
Anyways. Not trying to turn this into a d1ck measuring contest. Lmao. So you of all people shouldn't be having issues.
Tho, I can play Monster Hunter World on max with 4k textures enabled but my friend with a beast of a gaming rig couldn't. I thought I knew computer specs. But Im playing games on high or max with zero problems that CanYouRunIt says I cant play at all. Like Elden Ring. RE4 Remaster. Maybe its my fine tuning I did in my Nvidia Control Panel.
No worries. I have a great gaming rig that SHOULD run this game with no issues (and, it has in the past). The D4 (Diablo IV) crashes are an issue that have affected many players since the new DLC.
My rig runs all other games at Max/Ultra/Raytracing-On settings with no issues, but this little gem is the thorn in its paw. I've attempted many, many grfx and display setting changes and though some have helped immediately, the performance issues eventually come back on next play through.
I don't have the time or patience to put into debugging my DDV issues, anymore. I'll just walk away and check in every couple of weeks to see if maybe they've patched/fixed it.
Having never cleared my Nvidia cache, I was hoping that this might also be my fix. But, it wasn't...main map is still OK for performance (for a short play session), but ARIT maps are still trash for performance.
any ideias why?
Ditto.
Thanks! No...the newest patch changed nothing, for me. Main map is fine. Eternity Island map is fine for the first 2 minutes, then it flips a switch and drops to low FPS/lag/stutter. I can recreate the issue, every time (travel to The Docks, walk around and then into Scrooge's store...look around the store, come out, then as soon as I walk up the stairs to the portal fountain area, the performance drops by about 90% and stays that way). Not sure if it's those exact steps that cause it, or just that it takes a couple of minutes to happen (so, routine vs time in map), but it renders the game unplayable (well, unplayable if you wish to keep your sanity!).
