i'm not tech expert but sounds like they might have a bug somewhere in the cloud save and maybe the game save goofing when multi platforms are used.
If it were happening to me i'd contact support and ask for help troubleshooting and request they submit a bug report. Here's the link to put support ticket in: https://gameloft.helpshift.com/hc/en/66-disney-dreamlight-valley/contact-us/
Also, now that I think about it, unsure if switch received the update where valley item limit has option to be increased to 6000 or remained cap at 3000 items. On PC cap is 6000. Might be a bug with that as well.
Also, might be bug in the graphics settings not registering current devices used settings? The bug could be anywhere really. Might try going into the graphics settings before starting game and slightly changing some presets see if that helps stop the crashing.
Also, might try when on PC in game going to menu by pressing esc and then going to help and clicking cloud save, this way it pushes your cloud save to PC steam cloud, if it's trying to auto cloud save and trying to push to switch from pc maybe that might cause it to crash?, just something to try.
There's a public trello board for listing known issues. There's a prominent issue on PS4/PS5/Switch where the game runs out of resources which causes it to crash. I have 128GB of ram and 18GB of VRAM so I can't reproduce any such issue.

There's a folder on windows that has logs. The AppData folder under your user directory is a hidden folder so you would have to change your settings to show it. This is the folder that has all of your save data, so you can create a zip file as a backup or copy them elsewhere just in case you're worried about losing data.
C:\Users/USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Gameloft\Disney Dreamlight Valley
There's a file that should be in there called 'player.log' which would likely have the cause of the crash in it, and if you posted it here others would be able to help more.
I'm not on windows right now, but I believe if you hold WindowsKey + R and paste this in, it would open the directory. You should be able to open it in notepad and
%APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Gameloft\Disney Dreamlight Valley
I have eternity isle and notice when I logged out there and then next day loaded there - it did not stutter or crash there ever. I started doing some of my daily stuff there first. When I teleported to Valley though I would still sometimes crash but not nearly as much as when I first spawn there - again I waited out the stutter.
I had gotten annoyed with a few of the characters constant repeated tag lines and singing and since I play with only headset sound on my PC - I just did not connect my headset to the pc (so game was silent) I've gone 4 days with Zero crashes and no stutters. Today I logged in with my headset listening to other music - turned all the game setting vol's to 0. I got a fair amount of lag but didn't crash.
I play only on PC with this game so I don't think I could have mixed platform errors.
Anyway - just a suggestion if you have tried a lot of things and still crash - maybe try muting your computer volume (my best result), as well as game setting vol to zero see if it helps you too.

I would also recommend that you ensure that the full screen optimization isn't enabled. To do this:
- Open the Steam client > Click on Library
- Right-click on Disney Dreamlight Valley > Click on Manage
- Click on Browse local files > Go to the folder where Disney Dreamlight Valley is installed
- Right-click on ddv.exe > Click on Properties
- Go to the Compatibility tab > Click on "Disable full screen optimizations" to checkmark it
Once done, click on Apply and then OK to save changes.
Don't forget to update your drivers.
Needless to say, issues with corrupted or missing game files on PC may cause you to encounter game launching crashes a lot, without receiving a proper error message in some cases. If this is the case, and your game starts to load for a few seconds and then closes automatically or doesn't launch at all, it's best to verify and repair the installed game files:
- Launch the Steam client > Click on Library
- Right-click on Disney Dreamlight Valley in the list
- Click on Properties > Go to Installed Files
- Click on Verify integrity of game files
This process may take some time to complete. So, please have some patience.
Once done, make sure to reboot the PC to apply the changes.
You can also disable the Steam Overlay:
- Open the Steam client > Click on Library
- Right-click on Disney Dreamlight Valley > Click on Properties
- Click on General > Turn OFF the "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" option
- Once done, reboot the PC to change the effects
