Villagers "disappear" whenever task needs them

Hi, just need to see if this happens to anyone else but *everytime* I have to gift or hang out with someone for a starpath task the villager seems to... disappear? They will show as being on the island I'm on if you check the 'F' list but can't be seen wandering about and I usually have to lure them out by going in and out of their house. (I check the other island as well but alas.) Goofy however is now stuck in his house and if I venture inside of it he's not there but he's also not outside whenever I leave. It's getting a bit annoying to have to loop around it. Been happening since about the last starpath.

yes I have had this happen its kind of random when it will happen but it can be very frustrating and some times saving and getting back in helps but not always. not sure why

ooof well at least it's not just me then :/ seems like everything requires you to restart the game these days. im already dealing with massive frame drops and theyre at their worst when i first start it up so i prefer to power through it but welp
guess ill have to drop a ticket for support

Hmm, I haven't had any villagers completely disappear unless I've turned them off. Sometimes they can be hard to find, yes, but checking the stack of them in the restaurant or Scrooge's shop usually works.
(the more annoying part is when I get a starpath task to talk to them, and I've either already done their conversation for the day, or they're asleep in their house.)

Maybe try using that little activation menu on the Map screen to turn the particular villager off, and then back on again?

I check those places as well, since they're opposite of one another in my valley and nope :( They are just straight up gone unless I enter and leave their house. Could try and turn them one and off again a few times though and see if they wanna show themselves though!

This happens fairly often. The way round it i have found is to open the F menu, remove and re-add them to the village. They will spawn in side their house which you will walk in and then wont be there! However, as soon as you leave they will respawn in front of their house and be back to normal.

Most of the time when theyre not on the map they are inside their house. If not they appear outside their house when you walk out of their house again. Never failed me anyway

Yeah I mention having to lure them out that way, worked until yesterday but alas it just feels strange they would decide to poof to another dimension simply because theyre suddenly needed for something, has to be a bug!
