On the Trail of Minnie's Memory Quest

I'm having an issue interacting with the sparkling fishing pole. Minnie says to interact, but it doesn't matter what I press, nothing happens. Has anyone had this issue or able to fix it? Thanks!

Quick google:
go and speak to Mickey next who will give you the Dreamlight Magnifier. Return to the Fishing Rod in Peaceful Meadow and interact with it.
