Large copper rock blocking the Grove

Maaan, I have unlocked the grove on Eternity Isle, Rapunzel wants me to go to her tower with her but a giant copper rock spawned in front of the rock path leading behind the waterfall. Not sure how many quests I need to be able to break it, I’m really hoping I don’t need to get to the Grove in order to progress to get a pickaxe upgrade. Has anyone upgraded the pick axe to break the large copper rocks?

I have, for me Rapunzel was blocked before we opened the door with the sundial...
All you have to do is upgrade your hourglass (5.000 mist) on the timebending table. Then make the potion that makes your pickaxe able to break the large copper rocks (3.000 mist, 1 ancient core and 40 copper - I think).
Merlin will also give you a second quest to upgrade your tools once you've upgraded your hourglass. Provided you finished the quest with the small tool upgrades.
