I had the misfortune of playing this on Xbox Live, and I thank whatever gods above and below that I didn't purchase this.

Why?
It's obvious that this game is tailored to female players, which is fine. But the fact that it's not remotely inclusive is beyond inappropriate.

Can someone explain to me why almost all of the 'good' clothing are for women only (unless your male character wants to wear a dress, more power to you) while the males get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear?

Like, what if your dude wants to run around shirtless in a pair of shorts or whatever? Why can't we get a shirtless outfit?

Because women can't go shirtless in this game, right? God forbid they do something for males exclusively.

I can't support this game.

Your character can be either sex. Thanks to the mannequins, you can quick switch between male/female characters in a snap. You are correct that there are not many clothing options in the "male department". Been to any big box clothing store lately?

But is there a point in being a male character?

Maybe you can't go shirtless because this game is also for kids? Ever read through convention guidelines before? Even though there are people in shirtless cospalys, a lot of cons technically forbid it (regardless of gender) because kids also attend those cons, and they deem it inapproriate fpr younger audience.
Obvisouly there are gonna be more female outfits than male ones if the main target group is female. There are a lot of games where i would love to have more options for female characters, but it's oaky cuz those games are usualyl targeted towards a male audience. The fact that you can actually wear a dress and similar things as a male character is already inclusive.

dude I hate to tell you this but you can't run around shirtless in the real world in most places either. Of course there are more girl clothing choices, mens fashion has been pretty still for a long time. oh wow how dare 1 game have more for girls unlike the thousands of other games with far more choices for men, you poor baby having the shoe on the other foot must suck so bad for you. grow up.

I play a male character and I have absolutely no issues with the fashion choices available. I don't want a shirtless character because it's not appropriate for the game(It's a DISNEY game, come on!) and because there's no need to. Plus, if you really want to, you can try your hand at making something new to wear with the custom clothing.

True! I totally forgot about that. But yeah, I wasn't Happy with the available Christmas clothing, so i Just Made my own Christmas sweater that i Love instead of complaing on the Internet

I don't really follow your complaint, I just tried it and a male avatar can wear everything a female avatar can... seems balanced to me.

he is mad it isn't a game centered on the male audience. honestly there are a ton of suits and jeans, shirts, coats. oh no there are dresses he clearly has been wronged by dresses existing.

I play a male character. And pretty much every other mainstream video game I own are tailored for male gamers but gee, I just manage to muddle through somehow.

Not to argue on the OP's side, but I'm curious re:"because of the kids playing" - did Lilo & Stitch have any shirtless beach dudes in it?

Personally, I'd guess that the lack of shirtless option for dudes is a combination of "that's not the style we're going for" and "eh, you'd need to add a complication to the dress-up system". /shrug
