look at your collection tab, itll show dreamlight vally and z items from that, and then the expansion and those items.... its there btw all items from expansion that are locked to it, so if a item to a villager is from that it means they want a paid dlc item as gift, kinda pushes you to buy it or miss out on that gift slot
If this would be the case this would be an even f up move from gameloft, so I want to give them the benefit of a doubt since the game is a real bugfest.
The only nice thing is that you can miss that slot and still progress so thats the only thing thats nice i suppose
The NPCs asking for gifts from the expansion zone doesn't block "progress through the game". It just means you can't boost their friend meter quite as fast. Or if the Star Path says "GIve <NPC> 5 favorite gifts", you might need another day to finish it.
Just like when you've just started, and an NPC asks for a flower/fruit/etc from a biome you haven't unlocked yet.
I guess I could get outraged if they provide fetch quests that are completely unobtainable without buying the DLC. So far, there are no issues like that. I am actually pleased that they have provided a decent amount of content for those of us not on the bleeding edge of buying the DLC.
I was really afraid it would be almost nothing for the base game.
