Enabling cross-play

My friends game says that cross-play is enabled but mine doesn't and we cant connect our games, has anyone experienced this yet or knows how to fix it?

Maybe one has playstation. I thought ps cant cross play.

I read a guide that indicates you give the other player your code. They use that code (with MP on) and they come to your valley. There is no actual cross play. You either visit their valley or they visit your valley. According to early reports, not a lot to do other then have a look, shop Scrooge's store, and hang out.

You can't really play the game quests together.

in case this has not been figured out yet

one of you has to be in game at the terminal to get their code

the other needs to select multiplayer from the main menu and enter the code

you cannot use your tools or do any quests

my lady was able to pick up coins and branches, but not much else

only one of you get to buy the items in the store

i had bought something before i invited her in and it was gone when she got there

she bought something and it was not there for me

so if it is something you want, be careful

hope they expand on it
