The Great Blizzard - Can't change gems - BUG!

Hey, I'm doing 'The Great Blizzard' quest with Olaf and I must put the 3 different gems to make the color of the rainbow. I've already put in Citrine and Emerald but it won't let me put in Amethyst. I might've put them in the wrong place but the game won't let me take them out of their freaking sockets to place them somewhere else. All it says when I get close to them is 'Read'. This game has SO many BUGS, it's unbelievable! Does anyone know of a solution to this? If you do, could you please let me know as I am now stuck at 2/3 and cannot advance. Its not a bug, there are several types of Amethyst ;)

do you have a shiny amethyst or a regular one, I'm also stuck on that quest as well I don't know if there's a specific order I need to put them in but at least I now know what gems I need so thanks for that, also I think it says it needs a tarnished one's however you get them
