But it's nowhere to be seen.
The ramps! Thank you so much.
I will have another look. 😊🤗
I got to feed the tuxedo one some more, so not all was lost.

The ginger-and-white capybara eluded me this week. Maybe it is a bug. The capybara normally approach me if I'm nearby.
I chased the red-and-white capybara all over the green areas yesterday with no luck, made Mirabel hang out and everything, just in case, but no. Thought at first that maybe I had the time wrong (the AM and PM always confuses me), so I logged back in later to try again, but that was also no. And I did check the sky path as well, both times.
(The layout of the biomes are just so painfully confusing to me. I miss the nice, clear layout of our valley biomes.)
OH! What are the capybaras favourite food? Because I think I heard that it is supposed to be cabbage, which they do love, but I've fed them cinnamon and they love that too. Think I befriended my capybaras with cinnamon rather than cabbage, actually.
Thank you! So it is not just me? I was so confused and low key frustrated, I mean, I went around and around, throughout the day. Began a few minutes after 12. Finally gave up.
I don't think I have ever seen the red and white capybara. I've seen the blue and ochre ones many times and have gotten both in the pets list.
Yes I looked up Mirabel each time I tried. Log in, log out, over and over, just in case that might knock a glitch into place. Nope. Nothing.
Capybara, I've fed bamboo successfully. That grows in the grassy parts of the new land. Oddly when I've seen a new capybara, suddenly I can't find bamboo growing. So just as I did with the original valley critters, I've now taken to carrying food around for the new ones. All together it takes a lot of room in inventory.
I wish we could carry a separate 'food pouch' for critter use, or I wish inventory called up anything in our storage chests.
Snakes like eggs. (Fresh eggs from Remy's place. Not cooked.)
Monkeys by the way, will eat a banana pie, and that is only 3 ingredients. Banana, butter, wheat. All but the butter are fairly cheap and easy to come by. So if anyone was struggling with the 5 course meals...and btw I fed them one they disliked. So they don't even eat all 5 course. But they've consistently liked banana pie.
But fruit salad made with a banana, and with a banana in its image? Yucky. Won't eat.
Back to Capybara...I've fed them bamboo, cabbage, and melon. I forget if I've tried carrot or not. I'd think they'd like carrot but now I can't recall offhand. They do like melon.
I haven't tried cinnamon. I wouldn't think they'd eat that. Interesting!
It would be nice indeed if we could have a little critter pouch that is a separate inventory. I never have food for the cobras on the rare occasion I have (by accident) gotten close enough to feed one. The cinnamon bit, well, first time I saw a capybara in the game it walked up and I had nothing in inventory - except for the cinnamon sticks just foraged from a nearby tree. I figured most critters eat what is available in their biome, right? They loved the stuff, anyways.
Thank you for the banana pie tip! I hate making a five star meal for the little... gourmands XP, but it is one of the recurring duties. Banana pie it is.
I set my machine to make 10 pies as, even with simpler ingredients list, it does get repetitive.
I maintain a small garden patch in the Glittering Dunes. An advanced gardener machine waters it now. I keep a few of this and that going, including a few cabbage, a few melon.
One of these days I'll get the remaining capybara
Just curious, haven't got enough of some resources to make a basic gardener yet. Did manage to upgrade my cooker one step, but it will be slow going for either of these.
The basic one is 4x4 with one corner being the gardener, so you have 15 crops. The regular one is 5x5 minus the corner so 24 crops. 35 crops for the advanced one I reckon but I havent build one yet.
Thank you for replying, this was great to know! I would have hated to go through all that just to discover that it wouldn't even cover my smallest field.
no problem, they are not entirely useless since they do the digging (separate actionbutton), planting and automated watering (separate actionbutton) and harvesting (also separate actionbutton). So its more for those situations when you need some crop like sugarcane because youre running out of stock and don't have much time for (or fed up with) digging and planting. you can always harvest them yourself if you want the gardening bonus you get with an extra npc.
Still need to harvest them manually, since it doesn't give critical successes or trigger helper bonuses.

That is the size of garden I have, with the Advanced Gardener machine.

That is the range it can cover. It has to sit outside the crops. I'm not sure if it would water the rest of a row beside it? But it looks like it could do more width in rows. However that is the extent of the length it can water.
