Ok so it is probably a bug, thanks for the respons :) I will report to Gameloft then.
Happy Holidays! :)
Yeah it sucks big time.
I have been in contact with Gameloft over the holidays and they send me some things to try that unfortunately didn't work for me - So, they said to stay tuned for a fix in the near future.
Here is what they wrote to me, maybe you can try and see if it will help you:
-"...First of all, please check if you meet recommended requirements:
*OS: Windows 10
*Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
*Memory: 6 GB RAM
*Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, 4 GB or AMD Radeon R9 380, 4 GB
*DirectX: Version 11
*Storage: 10 GB available space
I would also recommend you to ensure that the full screen optimization isn’t enabled. To do this:
Open the Steam client > Click on Library.
Right-click on Disney Dreamlight Valley > Click on Manage.
Click on Browse local files > Head over to Disney Dreamlight Valley installed folder.
Right-click on DisneyDreamlightValley.exe > Click on Properties.
Go to the Compatibility tab > Ensure to click on Disable fullscreen optimizations to checkmark it.
Once done, click on Apply and then OK to save changes.
Don't forget to update your drivers.
It’s needless to say that issues with the corrupted or missing game files on the PC might encounter game launching crashes a lot without any proper error message in some cases. If this is the case, your game starts to load for a few seconds and then closes automatically or doesn’t launch at all, then it’s better to verify and repair the installed game files:
-Launch the Steam client > Click on Library.
-Right-click on Disney Dreamlight Valley from the list.
-Click on Properties > Go to Local Files.
-Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.
This process may take some time to get completed. So, have some patience.
Once done, make sure to reboot the PC to apply changes.
You can also disable Steam Overlay:
Open the Steam client > Click on Library.
Right-click on Disney Dreamlight Valley > Click on Properties.
Click on General > Turn OFF the Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game option.
Once done, reboot the PC to change the effects...."
