Wall Shelf Bugged?

I made a couple of wall shelves and placed them in a room. I decided I'd like them somewhere else, and when I couldn't pick one up, I noticed it had attached to the wall backward. Now I can't move it, and it's just an eyesore sitting on the wall backward.

My wife came over as I groaned in exasperation and I decided to show her the unmovable shelf. It apparently liked her cause it finally moved. Come at it from the side.

Actually, sometimes was items somehow attach themselves to walls backwards. If you spin to where you're viewing it from the outside of the room, it seems to be accessible then.
