HELP. Can't access DLC content

So I've been playing this on Switch. Just bought it on Steam. Full game and DLC. The DLC content won't work. still have the items from the dlc ( because of cloudsave ), the staff that you get, new characters roaming the "old realm", the road into the castle is open, but I cant take the "boat" to the new realm

I've verified files / uninstalled / re-installed multiple times.. Still won't work. Frustrating. Can anyone help me with this?

you need to finish a few quests before you can access the dlc. so when you just bought the game you first need to do the quests that the game told you. There was a pop up window telling which quests need to be done.

Even when I've opened it on Switch, and done a lot of quest/stuff there? I need to re-open by questing ? Cause I've loaded from Cloudsave.

It might be a bug then because you need to buy the dlc for each platform, so it might be that because of the switch savefile it does not recognize the progress on steam since the dlc is missing on the switch. I would recommend asking in the discord server there are many people who can help you out with fixing things

Check that both Steam and the game recognize that you've bought the DLC?

In Library: right click game, go to Properties, click on DLC. Does it show it owned & checked off.
Run the game. At main menu, click on the Rift In Time entry near the bottom. Does it say "Owned" beneath the picture?

Yes, the DLC is in the DLC tab on Options. Also the box is check off "installed".
But ingame, when I click Rift in Time entry, it says I gotta purches it.. which is frustrating as hell.

any update on this? i did send a ticket as well from yesterday. no replies yet. this is the exact thing that happened to me i have the dlc on my tab and says installed, but in thr game itself in the main menu from the rift in time entry, it does show me the price lol it doesnt say that i own it even if i bought the gold edition.

I had the same issue with the DLC. I played it before via xbox game pass and then bought dreamlight valley on steam at the beginning of december when it was released, including the DLC. The game worked but the DLC was not shown as purchased in the game and therefore did not work. i tried all possible solutions i found on reddit and other social media but it just didn't work. then i contacted gameloft support to see if they had a solution for me. Well, after more than 24 hours all I got was "It should work now". I started the game again but it still didn't work. I then contacted Steam Support and requested a refund, which fortunately went through. I then bought the game with DLC via the xbox store (it only cost me €55.99 thanks to the game pass) and was able to play the DLC straight away without any problems

Did you get any update by now? I have the same issue. I even tried reinstalling the game (since it then should also automatically install the DLC that you bought), but it still doesn't work. I sent an e-mail to Gameloft about this just yesterday. Reading this issue has been around for a while already and is still not solved, truly is disconcerting...
